sludgecicle

Is there a word for the road-junk that gets stuck on your car behind the tires when the roads are snowy and icy? I propose "sludgecicle", if there isn't already a word. Sort of like icicle, but without the image of purity that ice suggests. maybe gunkcicle. I suppose "blob of frozen slush" could work, but it seems so clunky.

We have some crudcicles here I tell ya. Holy weatherchanges batman. It was 9 above zero here today. What? Yup. Tomorrow all that melted snow and crud will be skating rinks. Awesome. And I have to navigate the sidewalk to Kez's dad's place to feed the cats while they're away in PA. Wish me luck!

OMG. I'm not going to complain any more. I really really mean it. But this morning and yesterday morning the little lakes from the rain on the roof outside my "penthouse" were FROZEN! I was so excited. Weather!!! Weather!!! Yay!

You see in Winter-peg, it's just frozen solid. No sludge to deal with until...oh, April or May when the snow finally melts. *sighs*

Roadcicle? Slushcicle? None of them sound ugly enough. Whatever you call it, it sucks when it plops off and melts in the garage! We spend the winter jumping the sludge/crudcicle puddles to get into the car! Ah, winter.....
