SOPA and PIPA, A Danger to the Internet?

Many people have been talking about the recent action taken by some websites in blacking out their sites, so here is a little more information on it.

As many of you guys will know today signals the start of an internet wide protest against two bills that are trying to be passed by American Congress. Scores of websites from countries all over are world are blacking out in order to protest these bills. Such websites as Wikipedia, Google, Wired and Reddit are among others that are showing opposition to the bills. If they are passed it could severely impact user submitted content on most sites. yes it is. basically the American government is trying to censor the internet. take control of what is, for people around the world, a massive and successful tool to communicate ideas. in one article i read its as bad as in China or Iran, and maybe not to the extreme extent of North Korea, but its heading down that slippery slope. Governments are grasping for power, the United States will have unbelievable control over us Americans if this bill passes. I mean they already passed that whacko National Defense Authorization Act. I believe the world is reaching a tipping point. Either we go along and be enslaved. Or we rebel and change the system. Its not if, but a matter of when.
