This blog comes to you in three parts.

First, off I am wearing two hats, like Johnny two hats from The Mighty Boosh. My dad who normally finds the weird things that I do just embraced my two hats and called me Two Lid Lexa. So, we just bonded I think. That’s always good. If anyone is wondering I’m wearing a black Western Derby-ish hat (like Badger’s from Firefly), and a black Fedora.

Second, for everyone who is wondering about the previously mentioned play here is a summery. The story is about what goes on during the production and rehearsal of a play. It centers on Jenna, who is playing Helena in A Midsummer Nights Dream, and Richard, the director. The rest of the cast is a motley crew encompassing everything from a diva, and ex-Broadway star, a newbie, and a tech wizard who essentially lived in the dark. It’s funny, hopefully, witty, hopefully, full of everything that we love about theatre, and a little romantic.
Third, for everyone who is wondering about the previously mentioned novel here is a summery. Remie Cross loves her job working for a small writing magazine, but she hates her boss the arrogant, famous, and devilishly handsome Liam Montgomery. When he says that one of the six employees needs to go with him to Washington for a convention Remie agrees only if she can visit her family. In a twist of fate they are forced to drive. Now the pair are on a six (possibly seven) day road trip. Liam’s at the wheel and Remie is navigating. Like any good road trip story they encounter the freakiest people on the road and get lost along the way. But can they find love through all their bickering? Of course they can because I’m a romantic.

Well that’s it! Excerpts to come of both stories at some point. Cheers!

Wow, that play actually sounds extremly awesome.
Even though a play about making a play is probably no new idea (but then again, what idea can be really called new?) the set of characters promises to be entertaining.

btw. If you need additional research or another opinion about how it is backstage or something, there is a great book out there by lewis black (a pretty harsh comedian) called "Nothing's sacred". It is like his autobiographie, and the chapter about the theatre is brilliant. (He was a playwright himself once).
So if you ever stumble across it in a library, be sure to take a look at atleast that chapter.

About the novel, sounds a little generic so far, but probably due to the lack of information. But it sounds like a sterdy (is that a word?) concept for a novel none the less!

Can't wait till you share! :)
