One of my friends says, that gender equality does not exist. By that, she means, that we men, have to do more. And I kind of tend to agree to her. I always try to treat all people equally, up until one point. You see, when I meet a girl I like, a social stereotype kicks in. The one, that says, that men have to be the ones, that make the first step. And this concept is a part of a bigger one, that requires men to make surprises for there women. But here is the deal: in our modern age, where gender equality exists (at least in theory), the idea, that the male should be always the head of a relationship is king of outdated.

Yet I have no big problem with it and never have stopped to act, when my heart told me to. This past Friday, while at a party, I asked a girl a question about this. Does she, as a girl, wants to be treated equally, or does she wants to be under a man. She  took a second to think and said, that she likes, that the man should be a bit above her. A guy, that was present there said, that while it is a little bit interesting, he kind of likes this hierarchy. I guess that this just proves, that there are some elements left by nature, that won’t go away form our society. At least in most of the animal kingdom, the male is the one, that tries to impress the female.
