Trying to Sleep

So it is about midnight right now and I've been trying to sleep since 10 but, obviously, that isn't working. I think the problem is that I have a combination on the songs Wide Awake and Somebody That I Used To Know stuck in my head on an endless loop for some unknown reason. I've already tried the basic techniques of imagining the song being a tree and having my mind-lumberjack cut down the tree then put it through a tree shredder and scatter the piece across my mind to help new and more useful trees grow like creativity trees and shenanigan trees. Anyway, I decided that this is the opportune moment to type up the intro to this new blogy thingy that I'm here to test out.

I already mentioned how terrible I am at introductions. I mean, what kind of person has their first post being about mind-lumberjacks and junk? I should mention that I tend to digress from subjects but I find that fun and exciting. So if I have a post called "I Swear Guys, Bees Are From Outer Space" and I end up talking about the large variety of baguettes I can find at my local grocery store, don't be surprised.

What are my hobbies? That's a good intro question! I read (obviously), play video games, watch Doctor Who and Falling Skies (ah-mazing). I'm one of those people who are still trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up, what kind of person I want to be, etc. So hobby-wise one day I could be knitting a scarf (I ALWAYS knit during finals. It's my stress relief) and the next day I'll be playing shoot-em-up video games and screaming profanity like there's no tomorrow.

Is this a long enough post? I have no idea what the 'norm' is here but I guess it makes my life easier if I just ignore it so I'm gonna go ahead and say that, yes, the length of this post is...superlative. I should probably sleep now. The songs are still stuck in my head but this time I'm going to pretend something along the lines of me defending the world against the God of Overly Repetitive Music or something ridiculous like that to get my mind off this madness.
