As many of you guys will know, Nerdfighteria will soon be moving from the Ning Network onto a private domain. This gives us greater freedom on what we can do with Nerdfighters. Owing to this, we are looking to appoint new users to the roles of Ningmasters, or Admins as they will be known on the new system. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who love the site as much as we do, to join us in helping transfer over and improving the place we love. So if you have a passion for any of the criteria we are looking to fill, we hope you will consider applying because there is nothing more important than to enjoy what you do.

We are looking for people to fill the following roles:

- Blogs Admin

- Groups Admin

- Members Admin

Once we have filled the Admin roles they will then look to appoint moderators to work alongside, so if you are interested in becoming a moderator for a particular role drop a line to the Admin in charge of that area.. If there is a position we do not have that you guys think would be good to have, feel free to suggest and apply for that too, we can make the site better by expanding further! Just leave us a comment below or a PM to either Dan or myself and we will get back to you to apply! If you do not wish to apply yourselves, but have an opinion on a particular applicant, like if you want to voice some support, then leave a comment on their blog applications. Knowing what the Nerdfighters community will help us make the right decision!

We have set a deadline for Christmas Eve a to give us time to process the applications, and we should have decisions made by the new year! If you want to know more about a particular role first before applying, or discussing putting forward a new idea before officially submitting it, contact either myself or Dan and we will be happy to help. As we near the transference date we will be keeping up to date with the goings on, but do not worry, there is nothing to do on your part, your account including friends lists and public profile will remain unchanged.

I have a pretty wide experience with various CMSes, know HTML CSS and have a working knowledge of JavaScript and PHP. I'm also familiar with W3C standards.

Prior experience : As I stated the first time, I use part of my spare time as the English speaking team leader for a sites promotional team -the other being primarily German speaking-. This basically consists writing up reviews, dealing with the community and managing the forum space allocated for our job and those who want to get involved - eg, people looking to get involved send their applications, banners/whatever other materials to me, which I then act upon -. I'd say I'm leveled headed, and easy to work with

Reason for applying: I'd say there's no real solid "This is why I'm applying, yadayadayada " response. I enjoy the site we currently have, and want to help out one way or another when we move.

A note to everyone applying, if you are serious about getting these roles you're going to need to put some thought and effort into the application.

" Hi, I like to be a mod. k. bai."

Does not cut it, there's a heavy commitment to being a mod or admin and we're not even going to be considering someone who can't even be bothered writing us a proper application.

So be imaginative, go into detail. "I'm good at this because I am" isn't enough, explain why.

I'm quite new to Nerdfighters but I already love it and try my best to keep the mood up, wether it's in the chat or in my blog. I recently started videoblogging and it's really fun - I'd love to apply for the position of Blogs admin! I like to consider myself a kind and welcoming person and I'd really love to try and get people blogging more and getting people active on commenting and communicating with each other, as well as developing new ways to make it easier and attainable! I actually think I'd be perfectly ready to take on any of the admin-roles, including Groups and Members. I like to talk (A LOT) and always try to keep the spirits up among the nerdfighters. So really, any role I'd be happy to take on! x

Well, considering how much spam gets through on our blog area on the Ning - and anticipating it will be of the same level or that of some degree - I think I'll apply for the role of blog Admin/moderator. I spend enough time reading all the blogs here on the ol' Night, might as well try and keep things clean, tidy and spam free whilst I'm do so. I'd say I'm level headed, if not in the blog section, I'm in the debate section which means I have to keep things respectful and do so. Might be worth noting I'm currently a promoter for a user created game on another Indi-site, meaning I've been found to be easy to work worth in the past.

I'd like to apply for the role of moderator.  I've been told that if I wanted to apply I need to comment on this page.  I believe I am qualified because I am not over-zealous and show a great deal of equanimity in everything I do.  I don't get worked up.  I will make the ning a better and more just place.  I lay down my opinions for the accepted rules of the many people who use this site. I agree to any wanted/needed changes in my profile that have come to attention of a few if I am accepted.

So. Members admin sounds interesting. Kicking people out... So, hi. I would like to apply for Members Admin. And if I'd get the part, I solemnly swear that I'm up to no good. Well, I won't kick people out unless they break the rules, and no matter how much they annoy me they will not be kicked out until they break the rules <3 Unless I can add a rule saying that annoying me is against the rules? But I'm generally very nice.
