I'm not the most active person here on the Ning.
While for months after it started, I was on here all the time, my interest in it waned and soon ceased altogether. I got more into interacting with my fellow Nerdfighters through YouTube itself, or through sites and services like BlogTV or Skype. The Ning was just yet another profile to maintain, and I was bad at maintaining it. I'm even worse at maintaining it now.
Occasionally, I get reminders that the Ning is not as dead as it once was, and try to get back into the swing of things. The end result is always more of a *removal* of my presence - deleting, for instance, the majority of my blogs. I already
have a blog elsewhere; doubling posts is tiresome at best, and diluting the same content throughout different locations can have negative effects on community participation. Besides, most of my blogs here were just embedded vlogs.
Which brings me to my current conundrum - I haven't posted videos to the Ning since September 2008. Even then, I was trying to play catch-up, and never finished posting all the videos I had at the time.
My feelings regarding content on the Ning are very all or nothing. Which means, ultimately, that I now face a decision: do I delete all of my videos - themselves only
reposts from my YouTube channel - or go through and embed them ALL here? The former means no one will ever find my videos through the Ning's video section ever again, while the latter means I'll essentially have to flood the section (even if I only do it in controlled spurts) to bring my Ning video catalog up to date.
I almost started doing the latter a few minutes ago, but the tediousness combined with the desire not to annoy people with a flood of videos (I have done this once before, and met with negative response) caused me to reconsider.
So I ask whomever chooses to read this: which route do you think I should take? Or do you have a different suggestion altogether?
