(I don't know you, or maybe I do, but smiling is something I am doing to decrease world suck! I hope I brightened your day! Also I hope no-one minds if they accidentally get smiled at twice, that way you get more awesome!)
Oh, yeah, I've heard of Fire Island. It's shocking that I haven't been there yet.
I thought of Central Park because it's free, has no age limits, and is a nice place to hang out for a long time, waiting for new arrivals. But the downside is that a gathering there depends on the weather... well, it's something to think about, I suppose.
Ok, another ignorant question: what is Robert Moses? I mean, I know WHO Robert Moses was: he's the crazy guy who thought that roads and cars were more important than people and razed whole neighborhoods in greater NYC for the benefit of highways. If it were up to him, SoHo wouldn't exist, or the Village, either! Really! He had this plan to wipe it out, because the areas were "slums."
I am embarrassed to say that I've never been to the beaches around here. Being really close to the beach sounds nice.
Maybe, when the weather is good, there could be a Nerdfighter gathering in NYC....a picnic in Central Park, maybe...
Hi there - just had to compliment your wonderful taste in music. I was browsing through, and normally stop any auto-music before it gets a few notes in. Your page, however, demanded to remain open in the background while I kept browsing, because the playlist caught my ear. I've heard some of it before, obviously, and some of it I haven't heard until now...but it's all good stuff. Keep being awesome!
Where is West Islip, anyway? Is it north, by Canada? New York is such a weirdly shaped state. I haven't really ventured of NYC except to go to the Gunks and Greenwich...which, um, is in CT. I'm starting to feel like one of those Manhattanite stereotypes on Sex & the City! Like that guy in Season 1 who says he never leaves the island because there's nothing worth seeing outside of it.
The writers' strike has kind of passed me by...I don't have a television (I'm more of a watch-an-entire-series-on-dvd person), and so haven't yet been affected by the strike. But you can bet that I'm going to be grouchy when Battlestar Galactica season 4 is late in coming out!
yeah, I can't wait for Across the Universe either. It comes out next month according to Amazon! ^_^
That's great that you gotta see Kingdom Hearts through your brother's playing. Actually, Kingdom Hearts II was the first game I EVER beat! Everything else I've fallen short at, though I have gotten close to beating Super Mario World, lol. But yeah, I love Kingdom Hearts. I just got this huge wall scroll for it and it's right above my bed, lol. Also, that video on my page is a Kingdom Hearts music video I made. That's how bordering on obsessed I am. Actually I have many obsessions, lol :P
OK, according to Amazon Across the Universe comes out February 5th!!!
