Well I'd done mostly egyptian cabaret in my first years, but then I stumbled across the most fantastic teacher ever, who had done a lot of flamenco before taking up oriental, but she had also taken from many other disciplines to build up her style, such as romani, duende and bhangra. So the style I enjoy the most is, I should say, fusion, with an emphasis on folkloric.

I also did a bit of tribal in my day, and loved it, although at times I find it a slightly too "serious" style.

1st: Those pictures of cakes! Mouthwatering. I thought it was an accomplished baker, but boy, did that just put me to shame!

2nd: Dewey Decimal Blues. Never heard of the song. It started playing as soon as I got to your page. Now I can't just get it out of my head!

The flower in the photo is trillium, the white is grandiflora, there are red and yellow varieties too.
I love lady slippers, they are my favorite wildflower!
They don't grow in the midwest US as far as I can tell, but where I grew up on the east coast, pink ones grow in the pine forests. I miss them. Your photos are awesome, I love your Elvis and doll ones, they're too funny. And the harbor, it is so peaceful and beautiful. Also, the bench with the kitty on it, is that your yard? It's the best bench ever.
