As I am staring 30 in the face I realise that there where SO many opportunities that I had in my 20's that I didn't take due to my own stubborn nature. When I had the financial backing of my parents, who were tormenting me to do my masters, I was like "It's my life, not yours, and if I choose to spend it in the work force, and 'experience life' that's my prerogative, etc.." Now that opportunity is gone, I'm very poor with little savings, and struggling to put myself through school while working. Hindsight is SO 20/20...:)
But then, I feel a certain measure of pride having accomplished it on my own, rather than with my father's help, whom I didn't always see eye-to-eye with regarding his personal beliefs.
Anyway, I'm actually JUST starting my co-op placement at the University of Guelph Library (First day on Tuesday!!! EEEEPP!)
