that's nice that you are going to spend it with your grandma. my grandpa on my mom's side died about 8 years ago, so everyone comes up and has christmas with my grandma too. that's awesome about the music and drum kit :) I'm going to get music too. probably mostly Beatles cd's though. or maybe their movie Help. either that or a season of Supernatural. isn't TVC the band with Dave Grohl as the drummer? I admittedly haven't listened to that much of the Flaming Lips, but I like what I have heard. and Merry Christmas to you too (again lol)
I am deeply offended that you would wish me a MERRY CHRISTMAS lol ;) Christmas is infact my favorite holiday. I love watching Christmas movies, egg nog, lighting the fire, hot chocolate, the warm and fuzzy feeling, the whole shebang :) I'm going to go to church on christmas eve, a christmas eve party, coming home and watching either Home Alone or It's a Wonderful Life and then waking up in the morning and watching A Christmas Story until everyone else wakes up. and then we do the presents thing, have breakfast, and then I get in the car drive for two hours with my sisters for christmas dinner with my mom's side. you? lol
I don't know if I could choose between the albums lol. my favorites right now are definitely Revolver and Sgt. Pepper's. but then Yesterday is pretty much one of my favorite songs ever and that's on Help. and I'm a sucker for Paul's songs in the vein of "I've just seen a face" and "And I love her". and then again, George got more songs on the later albums and those are fantastic. It's kind of hard for me to choose...lol.
That sucks that there's tension already. People let pride get in the way way too much. when really what should be done is set stupid pride aside and actually consider what's best for the band musically. maybe he's just letting his ego get in the way. *shrugs*
I used to not like facebook at all because you couldn't personalize it like myspace, or have music. but then I discovered all the groups and the like. and I found people who I haven't talked to in a while on it so I actually use it now. before I would forget I even had a facebook lol. plus Julian Lennon actually interacts with his fans on it, and I thought that was really cool.
More and More of the awesome people seem to be getting fed up with the ning. It's definitely a trend. I hadn't been on for a while and then when I came back on it changed, if that makes sense. it seemed like less of the awesome people were posting. and a lot of the threads are repeats.
oh, and as your buddy, I sincerely hope you get to see Radiohead and Ben Folds lol :)
that's awesome that you're in a band! especially because it's something you wanted to do :) Life's been pretty good on my end. I got to take a class on History of Rock n Roll and I LOVED it. I wasn't a big Beatles fan before the class but the first day we covered them in class the interest just sparked I guess lol. I even read an 800+ page bio on Lennon. but George is my favorite <3 I SAW GREEN DAY!!! and it was (beyond) awesome :)
I know what you mean about living life away from the internet. I barely went on anything for a couple months. It's pretty nice lol.
Thanks :) I'm going to make sure that my schedule won't be anything like that for fall or I WILL have a metal breakdown...lol. I hope you are liking the new house/city :)
I completed my first week of college classes! It's tiring. I have two classes, 3 hours each, 4 days a week. My world civ class doesn't even end until 9:10 and then I take the bus home and don't get home until 10:30ish. and then I have homework. and then I wake up and do it all over again. but, I still like it better than high school at this point. they don't talk down to you as much. but then again, I haven't had to write an essay yet. sorry again for rambling...lol. so...how is your summer going?
that's farther than I am with college credits...that makes me feel behind...lol. and here I was thinking I was doing well with starting in the summer...
That sucks that you have to move for Senior year...I didn't like moving and Ionly did it once. in fourth grade nonetheless...lol.
I know! Grad Practice was SO long. plus I was the VERY last one. *sigh* anway... I actually Graduated last night. It feels very weird to say that. I wish you good luck with your Senior year :)
Wait, do you mean you are moving before Senior year starts or after it ends for College?
nothing...and everything. I have one day left of school and then I have grad practice on Wensday and the actual graduation on thursday. so i'm basically freaking out. It's a really weird feeling...lol.
y tu?
oh no! what a jerk. stupid person contributing suck to the world. hmph. *feels indignation over radio-jacking incident*
at least you still have music though... I don't understand how some people can just sit in silence for extended periods of time. A couple months ago my sister and I were in the car for two hours with my mom and her boyfriend and the radio was off the entire time. The silence was so loud. thank goodness I had my ipod or I might have gone crazy.
sadly, I do not play an instrument. but I would love to learn how to play the guitar or bass or drums. or...idk...the banjo?...lol.
love the Platypus (I hate you) reference. I can only imagine the stanza you are referring to...lol
nice...I would love a VW bus. but really a big bulky van sounds pretty awesome too, especially since I am currently car-less. as long as it has a radio and/or cd player, I'd be good. and ofcourse, gotta love the ramen...lol. Chicken flavor especially.
and I have to add that this morning was made of awesome. I got a Kerplunk! shirt and scarf, a Green Day satchel/bag thing, and TICKETS!!! Front section Floor tickets! I'm going to see them in August. I'm really excited :) Oh, and today is my b-day which is why I got presents:) What kinda sucks is that my b-day is so close to graduation, which means everyone is going to put the two together. but whatever, I'm seeing Green Day. I'm good...lol.
cowbell... haha :) great SNL skit.
my today was good for the most part. we were watching movies in every one of my classes except for one because it's the end of the year. I finished Cat's Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut, turned on some music, and then turned on the computer. That's as far as my day has gotten so far... yours?
I didn't get the tickets *tear*
oh and a more random note, I watched a South Park episode with Radiohead in it last night and it made me think of you... lol. :)
(it's so hard not to used lol...*sigh*)
