Oh, and I saw a comment below about Firefly being girl oriented, and I think I might have to disagree... I know quite a few guys that like it. It was a guy who introduced me to it.
I think I got a request thing on Skype from you, request to add as contacts, and I think I clicked ok, but I honestly don't know for sure and I don't see a new contact on my list...
Hey!
Just wanted to pop in and say I’m not dead. Sorry it took so long to respond, i think it’s been, jeeze, a month! Oh man, sorry. And, why yes, I am going to reply.
I think twilight was my limit for “um... excuse me... WHAT?!?” : )
I think you’ll manage firefly, it’s good, kind of old west meets the future with a few hot guys and girls thrown in there for good measure.
And i remember you mentioning the house of night. Which is... Marked right? Yeah i know it. : ) I kind of like the different way they do the whole vampire thing, the mythology and stuff being different. It’s not just straight, yeah we kind of, you know, drink blood. I want to read the rest, but i can’t get my hands on them.
Haha... i like how you say, yet. Firefly is a sci-fi series you haven’t watched yet. It’s a very girl orientated series though. There’s also a movie called Serenity but i like the series better. Hmmm... still trying to figure out who you are. Though, there is a new TV show here, don’t know if it’s started yet, that’s about the mines. A TV drama about miners??? Oh dear Australian TV shows, that’s really the best you can come up with. Ok random. moving on.
Aren’t colloquialisms fun, a tute is a tutorial but my statistics ones are timed and graded. Fun! Yeah, woke up a like 12.30 today, by my dad.
Oh cool. I do camps. Ours is a volunteer one for disadvantaged kids. There was activity days for easter last week. Sleeping on a floor for two nights, fun. But i learnt heaps for actual camp so it was good. I usually do the 6-10 yrs ones. It’s so good that you did that sort of stuff, I think all kids no matter what need strong male role models and it’s so good seeing boys do that stuff.
Oh Germany, awesome! oh there are so many places i want to go. I went to America a few years ago when i was in highschool. Our choir went over and did choir-like things.
I usually just listen to soundtracks too. We only really get one big show here a year and at the moment it’s Chicago. Though there are few small companies that do good things. Not a musical, but I really want to see Caucasian Chalk Circle but it’s the ‘interns’ doing it and I’m all for the learning process but i like the play and i want it done well.
I watch TV when there are good (ish) things to watch. There’s a show coming that I’m a bit excited about, Merlin. I really hope it’s not terrible. But I’m ashamed to say I do watch trashy TV shows, like the crap they put on MTV and next top model and biggest loser, I can defend myself by saying that i don’t watch religiously but it’s still pretty bad, it’s definitely rotting my brain.
I just finished reading the Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, I think it’s pretty popular in the Nerdfighter/Harry Potter community. I love reading young adult and it has the right amount of just-quite-not-right so it’s a bit creepy in the subject matter. It’s pretty good. What do you like reading?
Sorry to ramble on so much.
: )
oh! and I'm gonna try to go to the one in Mel. Though i don't live there so a plane ride is in order, but should be good fun! : )
Hey there!
Ok, deal, we can swap, you can have to steel caps and i can have the swats, then i can be kayley from firefly and you can be........ oh wait my geeky-ness is showing again.
I don’t have a statistics tute tomorrow! I get to sleep in. it makes my day :) but then i was talking about my stats tute last time, which makes me think i’ve been a bit slack in replying.
Ah, you’re area of study, it sounds terrifying to be perfectly honest :) hahaha... but then, you’re the one into computers : )
Well, I’m thinking au pairing is an awesome way to travel, and then you meet people too. It’s in the things I want to do pile. And I like working with kids so yeah...
Hoboken, i googlemapped it against Tenafly, cause when i was over there, we visited some nuns (i know, that’s sounds odd but it was a school thing). So i sort of, kind of, a little bit, know what you’re talking about which is a little cool. I’m not sure where i want to live long term, it’s too in the future for me right now.
Oh, thank goodness you don’t like hip-hop/rap. Do any actual humans like it? I thought you might be into musicals, i looked at your profile and the lion king started playing. I’m big into les mis and at the moment i like spring awakening. Wicked’s big in Oz at the moment, our wizard died a little while back and now some show business just-go-away guy is playing him, it makes my brain sad. I’ve never listened to Jersey Boys. I will have to give it a go. And phantoms, it’s big and fantastic... gotta love it.
I’m no good at orchestra things, i keep wanting to know which instrument is soloing and it annoys everyone else. but Chicago Orchestra defs cool.
I have an AIM which i use occasionally, I’m acfangirl. But i’ll look into the others.
So basically you’re saying my anecdote wasn’t funny at all. Thanks :P. I meant steel capped boots. Like the ones you wear on construction sites, but we were dealing with like paddocks and stuff, so all they were good for were being bulky and heavy.
And, yes, i am going to take that as an offer to do my homework for me. I did a statistics tute today and it’s an on-the-computer type thing *shudder*and was going along, following the instructions and got the wrong answer so I go to the tutor and was like “what have i done wrong?” he looks at it and was like “no idea, it looks right, you’d better just shut the whole thing down and start again” so even computer programs dislike me. So what exactly are you going to study?
Oh wow! New york, Carnegie hall... oh wow! That is definitely awesome. What do you like to see? I’ve been to new york once and really want to go back. It’s like my dream to spend a large amount of time there like au pair or something (au pair/ engineering whatever)
In my expert opinion (not) having been to very few of these things, i like festivals better. You get to be outside and listen to a whole lot of things. It’s fun :)
Well, I’ve just spent two hours trying to get my computer to work, i think technology hates me. All i did was leave it alone and it decided to work again. But now, I’m doing homework (I know, the riveting life I lead). Traffic Analysis kills me cause it doesn’t ask “assess the demand for walking” it asks for the “methods of assessing the demand for walking” *Sigh*. But anyway, went to V festival! Saw The Killers. It was pouring down rain, we skeezed in to like 3m away from the stage and then the lesbian chicks next to me decided 3 inches from my face was the perfect place to hook up. Haha. Anyway, what have you been up to?
No, I don’t think the ones here jump. I really, really hope not, at least I’ve never seen one jump. I think that would make them infinitely more scary.
It’s good that you are still living. I am very impressed. Where do you work? It sounds a little dangerous. I had a Bella moment at work too, to a lesser extent though, i had to wear steel caps (which is super fun...) and they’re so awkward. I was opening a gate and just went down. I’d only opened it about a million times before and the dude I was with couldn’t stop laughing. It was really embarrassing. I think that was the worse one but I’ve definitely tripped many times before that in steel caps.
: )
I do love some reese’s. I only discovered them last year, i know, missing out right. Fair trade is basically paying fair prices for stuff, like the coco and sugar in chocolate. It helps farmers in developing countries and factory workers and stuff. Oh, and when you find a giant spider in your kitchen, it’s not very awesome. they terrify me. i try to avoid deadly things, most of the time. I kind of like living... so, anyway, what have you been up to lately, hopefully avoiding deadly things as well. :)
That's very sweet of you. =) I live in Washington (not Forks). I bet that's probably further away from you than 5-8 hours. I think I would probably fall asleep at the wheel if I drove that long. -.-;
I do commute, and by bus no less! Four days out of the week I spend about four hours in transit. It's really tiring, but I do get a lot of reading in. And thank you, I really don't get very many pats on the back, it's nice. =)
I would definitely recommend watching Sleeping Beauty over - it's worth it. Why is it that all boys love Gaston? He's a womanizer and terribly narcissistic. I think people forget how violent and obsessive he actually is.
Lol, I was scouring other people's profiles and stealing their music, so all of it is out of order. I still have a long ways to go.
My favorite Disney film is by far Sleeping Beauty (followed closely by Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid). I like Tchaikovsky as well (and am surprised at your ginormous collection of classical music, even if you no longer have it). That is my plan - to start very softly with classical pieces and then mount to more energetic pieces, but I have a long way to go. I...don't really have much fun to be quite honest. I go to school in the morning and work two afternoons and two evenings out of the week. I have many family obligations, and since I have very recently moved, know very few people outside of my family. So, I don't have much time or courage (seeing that I suffer from a dreadful chronic shyness) to make friends and have "fun".
And thank you. =) My very favorite of the moment is the first song (I play it constantly.) I'm still working out the order of everything and I want to add more as well. I can't believe you have the Lion King soundtrack in its near entirety on your page. I don't think I have ever met anyone over the age of six who was such a hardcore fan, but lo and behold, here you are.
dude that was a welcome back from the LAST time you decided to come back . I've never left, I love it here too much. I just forget to check my ningpage . BTW - I TAUGHT you the \\//, ,\\// thing so :P
