Yeah, life never really turns out they way we plan.. but hey, maybe it'll be even better! That's what I'm hoping for, haha. Right now, I'm just taking it all year by year. So I just picked out my classes for next year, woot! Art, French, English, Math, Chemistry, Media Studies, Communications, and World Religions. Yay! I have no idea what I'm doing! Haha.
Ooh, off the wall writing is awesome! Do the songs you write have a genre?
Pixar dominates all! Whoot! Haha, love it. Wall-E is one of my favourite films ever. (: Ah! Toy Story was like an obsession as a kid. I remember we would run around quoting it word for word. Haven't seen it in so long..
If I could go anywhere, I'd want to go everywhere. Haha. Um, but highlights would probably be... Scotland (again), France (see the entire Louvre!), Italy, Spain, Greece, Egypt (pyramids!), South America, Africa, Australia, Central Europe (really interested in WWII, so I'd want to see Auchwiez [sp?] and all those main sites). Where'd you want to go? Do you like history? What time period interests you the most?
So do you still have snow? It's been absolutely pleasant up here. I even put away my winter coat.
Wow, you like, got your life planned out. I wish I could figure it out that easily. All I know is I like art, and I like film, and I like theatre. So I'm looking for a bit of a combination. Like maybe visual or special effects. Or art direction. Oh, I did some stage management a while back, that was fun, maybe I'll do something like that. Or maybe I'll just pack up and travel the world, haha. Who knows? But right now the plan mainly is: Go to Sheridan, get my Bachelor's of Applied Arts (in Animation), work for Pixar. Haha. I know that will probably never happen, I mean, I don't even know if I like animation (I like it, I just don't know if I'll like doing it). But yeah, right now that's the dream job. But I'm just kind of hoping I'll figure it all out along the way.
What kind of stuff do you want to write? Anything in particular?
Haha yeah. I actually live in the most southern part of Canada. We have the same latitude as northern California. Fun fact of the day for ya! But yeah, over the summer we drive a few hours north to the lake. Relax for a couple of weeks.
Wow, you have a busy summer planned out. I haven't even started thinking about my future (okay, lie, I think about it all the time, I just haven't done anything). So what are you looking to get into? I'm guessing nursing? Why's that?
Usually we miss about a week all together for snow. But this year's been really light, only ONE snow day. Thing is up here, the only thing you really stop for is heavy ice. Otherwise, you dig your way there, haha. But we usually get one big end of season storm in March, so I look forward to that. How long do y'all usually have snow for?
Yep, we get July and August off. Plus a few extra days. It's nice, I can't wait for it to come. Don;t have any plans yet though, except to go up north, but we do that every year. What do you do over the summer?
Well in my area we only have elementary (JK-Grade 8) and high school, but that's because I live in a small town. Usually you have elementary, middle, and high school. I don't know if we have Jr. High, I thought it was the same as middle school. We usually have a two week Christmas break, then March break (one week in March), and then after exams we get three days off. That's pretty much it. It's nice though. Do you go away for March break? Do you have March break?
Awe! That must have sucked! The worst we've ever gotten was three days no power, but that was in the summer so it wasn't too bad.
Yay for your team winning! (I didn't watch)
Canada is very snowy right now. It's been letting up lately, but right now it's snowing like there's no tomorrow. Hopefully schools are closed, hahaha. It's not too cold though, which is nice, only when the wind acts up is when you start to freeze.
I just started second semester, it's actually better than I thought it would be. Have you started second semester yet? I don't really know if your school system is the same as mine, but I'm sure it's similar.
Ah sorry! Sometimes things get all mucked up and I miss comments. My bad.
Anyways, I'm good. Things are good. I have to go back to school tomorrow, not fun. But otherwise I am very content. How bout you?
looks like it'll just be us two, unless elise is still in on it. charlee's not doing it.. but i'm still up for it :).
whatever, i mean it can be more relaxed, or strict, every other day making videos.. which might get a bit hard for me this year, with my a level exams, but we'll talk about it :).
sorry about lack of contact! i've been trying to reach you both on msn, but to no avail :(.
happy new year though, babe :) have a good one
Haha! Well, yeah, we do say eh a lot. With American accents, you can do so much, because there are so many. Like you can either do a Southern accent (which is the one we do the most, haha), or you can do more of a New Yorker accent (which when I try to do I just sound like a donkey "Noo Youurk"), and then there's also the LA/Valley Girl accents ("like OMG"). We pretty much just go on stereotypes, so talk about guns and war and money and power. Pretty much just anything negative about y'all, haha, sorry. Like when someone says they're going down to the states, the immediate response is "Don't get shot!" haha. We know you're not all like that, it's just fun to make fun. (: We do it to ourselves too. There's actually a lot of accents in Canada (and not just like, because of immigration, etc.) You got your West Coast (which personally I can't tell the difference from Central), Prairies (more of a drawl, kind of Southern), Central, Quebecois, and then Newfies/East Coast (which is like really pronounced, lots of oo's and eh's). So we know how to make fun of ourselves as well. (:
What kind of stereotypes/cliches have you heard about Canada? Oh wait, sorry *ahem* Sooo, whut kinda stereoo-types have ya huurd aboot the Ca-NA-Da, eh? Haha. Sorry, couldn't resist. (:
Gah I REALLY want to be part of the project, but I can't promise I'd be committed, and that wouldn't be fair to everyone else! :[
If there's any way I could help, though, I'd totally be up for it!
And I will definitely be watching it once it gets started!
