I don't paint a whole lot. I went to a fine arts camp in the summer, though, and decided that I wanted a painting of Coldplay. I don't know what exactly struck me to do it, I just knew I wanted to. And thus the painting was born.
And thank you. ^w^

That sounds like a really cute book! Do you go to a religious school? I went to a Catholic grade school. It was different, because there were only 16 people in my entire class. It was great though. Everybody got along really, really well, and we're all still kind of friends. We had kindergarten buddies when we were in 5th grade. We had to show them how to act in church and when they were supposed to stand up, sit down, kneel, etc. It would have been okay, but my kindergarten buddy was really, really hyper, and he never listened to me. This summer, I actually ended up helping the teacher whose class he was in with summer school. We started talking about kindergarten buddies, and she asked who mine was. I said "Austin." And she was like "... ooooh..." And I'm like, "yeah..." Heh.

Heh. It was pretty fun. We got really good food, and it was all formal and such. I haven't eaten a formal dinner in a long time, so I was like, "AHHHH! TOO MANY FORKS!" It was a fun time. I'm sorry your banquets aren't much fun though!

That's a really good idea, making things instead of buying them. It's a lot more personal and meaningful, I think. My roommate is a graphic design major, so she draws these really amazing wolf pictures as presents. It's amazing! I don't have much time to make things either though. :/ I should actually be working on my English paper now, but obviously I'm not. I should probably start that. Heh. I don't have a boyfriend right now, but there's this guy that I kind of like. I'm not sure whether he likes me or not though. We hang out sometimes though, and we go to philosophy club together, so that's always really fun! What's your boyfriend like?

The philosophy paper is... well... philosophical, so it's kind of confusing by definition. Heh. I hope I do well on it. They're kind of difficult to write because everything I wrote about was my own ideas. Like, the idea of physical and mental guilt was something that I thought of. I don't know if anyone else has ever talked about anything like that. Heh. And yeah, it can be difficult to understand, but you'll be able to eventually! :)

Heh. I just wrote a 4 page philosophy paper today. It was about this court case where this guy with a really messed up childhood killed two people, and we had to decide whether he was morally responsible or not, and decide whether he was guilty or innocent. Basically, I said that he wasn't morally responsible because of causal determinism (which would take way too long to explain, sorry), but he should also be found guilty because even though he wasn't morally responsible, he was physically responsible, and with causal determinism, basically it was either put him in jail or run the risk of having him kill more people. I know my views sound kind of messed up, but they make more sense in the paper, seeing as I have four pages to explain myself instead of a paragraph. Lol. My 10 page paper is easier to explain. Heh. It's about how and when science fiction becomes reality. I really have to start working on that. It's due on Tuesday. Oooh! So I registered for my classes for next semester today! It was really frustrating because I was one of the last people to register, so I would figure out all of the classes that I needed to take, and then they would close throughout the week, so I'd need to find more... ugh. It was a nightmare. But I ended up with a pretty good schedule, and no classes on Friday!!! Very exciting.

I do feel awesome! Haha. I think there are 60 people in marching band. It's really fun. We had our banquet tonight, which was awesome. Everyone voted for these awards, and they were really awesome. There was this one called "The Best Luke Skywalker Lookalike Award." The same person wins it every year. He looks JUST like Luke Skywalker. It's kind of hilarious. I only went to school with my younger brother for one year. Haha. It was kind of annoying.

My brother and I made tons of ornaments when we were little! They're on our tree too. I'm not sure if I'm going to do a gift exchange with my friends. You know that idea that college students are broke? It's true. Haha. I don't really have any money for anything other than like, food. Gift exchanges are fun though.

Yeah, you actually do dribble in wheelchair basketball! It's REALLY hard! Haha. I do feel awesome at halftime. It's very exciting. Our tubas are really fun. They always go sing to the fans of the other team. And they dance. It's most entertaining. How many people are on your cheer squad?

Haha. You know, I hadn't skipped a class all semester, which is something of an accomplishment in college. XD So I feel as though I deserved this one. Lol. It sounds like you had a really nice break! I did too. It was just my parents, me and my brother, but it was really nice. Lots of food! We also got our Christmas tree and put up decorations. That was fun too. There are lots of lights everywhere! My roommate and I have a little tree too, so that's fun. I love Christmas!

That's good that you're doing better with your homework! It sounds like that would be a good idea for the school. I used to do a lot of homework during and between classes in high school. Lol. I don't even know why. It's good that you won't forget things anymore though! My rough draft for this paper has to be 2 pages, but I've also got a rough draft of my English paper due, which has to be 10 pages. So yeah. I've been kind of busy lately. Heh. It's going to get busier right before Christmas when I have exams, but then it's CHRISTMAS!!! And I have about a month off. It's very exciting.

That's so awesome that your sports teams did so well! I'm happy for you!!! Apparently at my college we've got some awesome sports teams too. Our football team is undefeated, so they might end up a nationals (actually, it's pretty likely that they will), and apparently we have an awesome wheelchair basketball team too. Such a random sport to be good at. Lol. Actually, I just got back from playing wheelchair basketball. I went with a class. It's really, really, crazy difficult! I can't even play regular basketball though, so maybe it's slightly less difficult for some people.

I used to play tennis, but I haven't since I hurt my knee. I joined marching band this year! Which was INSANE because my high school didn't have a marching band. So they were doing these ridiculously basic drills and stuff and my friend and I were like OMG THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE! WTF IS AN 8 AND 8?! (By the way, an 8 and 8 is when you take 8 steps between each yard line, which is the most basic because it's about the size of a normal step. Heh). So yeah. We had to catch up to people with 4-8 years of experience in 3 days. It was crazy. It's done now though, which is sad because I actually really, really like it. Here's our show this year though! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h17L8xIPwpY My very favorite part is from 6:54 to 9:12. It took FOREVER to learn, but it's awesome. So yeah. You should watch that if you get a chance.

I get along pretty well with my parents. I'm in college, so I don't really see them a lot, but when I do we get along. So that's good. I'm going home today! Wooooo! Thanksgiving break doesn't technically start until tomorrow night, but all of my classes are cancelled (except one, but it's ridiculously easy, so I'm skipping a day). So that's very exciting. Haha.

Have you been getting a lot of homework and stuff? I have a few papers, but I'm procrastinating on them because that's what I do. I should probably write the rough draft for my philosophy paper this weekend... lol.

I heard Clocks on the radio, fell in love with it, and learned to play it on the guitar... My youth group leader heard it and gave me a slightly used copy of Rush Of Blood To The Head. Ahh.... The beginning of an addiction..... B^)

Hurr. I discovered the awesomeness because I heard Yellow once and was like, "Oh that's a really good song." And then I found out Viva La Vida was by them and got excited, and then I started to hear a few more of their songs (and found out that I already knew some of their other songs too) and...well, now I'm an addict. xD
I want a poster. o-o
I actually made a huge acrylic painting of them in my basement. I think it's one of their pictures from either A Rush of Blood to the Head or X&Y.

>w<<br /> Yayyyy.

No, I never have... Always wanted to though. I really like, Don't Panic, Parachutes, We never Change, Green Eyes, Amsterdam, Daylight, and Low. All pretty cool, Neh?

There's the link I used. Hopefully it works for you! The best links are the ones hosted by Megavideo, but you can only watch about 70 minutes a day, so I usually end up using Tudou, which can get a little annoying because they have subtitles and some of them are in several parts, but otherwise it works well. Oh, and the first few episodes are kind of... odd. So don't judge the entire show by those. Lol. I started really getting into it at about episode 6, but watch the first ones too, or you'll miss important stuff that keeps showing up!

Oh wow. That would be really, really annoying! I would definitely not like a teacher who kept losing all of my homework, no matter how good they may be in other areas. So what have you been up to besides school? Are you in any extracurricular activities?

Haha. Overprotective parents are always a joy. At least you know they care about you though! Oh wow. That last line you wrote made me laugh. My roommate thinks I'm crazy now. Well, she kind of already knew, but you know. It's okay though. She's crazy too. :) Anyway, if you start Doctor Who, let me know what you think of it! I always love discussing Doctor Who, but you should know that by now. :P

Yay! Doctor Who! My roommate and I watched Doctor Who for five hours last night. While eating cookies and ice cream. I love college.

I'm still not sure how that assignment went... apparently my professor is a bit scatterbrained, so she forgot to collect it. It annoyed me. But then she sent us an email and told us to send it to her. Hah. Fun time.

I agree with you that Internet safety is important. I never really understand those people who just give out their name and home town to random strangers. I mean, who would do that? So good for you for not being like that. Yay for smart people! Also, I'm not some 40 year old creeper. Not that I'm aware of, anyway. That would be an unfortunate discovery. "AHHHHH! I'VE SUDDENLY AGED MORE THAN 20 YEARS AND BECOME A FRIGHTENING PERSON!"

Hah. Well, you should start watching Doctor Who then! It would make me happy! And it would make you happy too! There are three Doctor Who posters in my dorm room. That's all that really fits on the walls. Lol. There are about 60 people in marching band, so not a ton, but enough. It's good to hear that school is going well! I hate math too. Ewww. I'm really bad at it. This year, I'm mostly just taking really basic classes. So math and English, and then at my school, we're required to take these two classes called World of the Arts and Individual in Society, so I'm in those, and then a class to help freshmen get used to college, and a philosophy class, which is my favorite class so far. It's so much fun! And my professor is awesome. He reminds me of one of the Doctors from Doctor Who (of course I have to relate everything to Doctor Who somehow). But it's all very cool. The classes aren't too hard yet, but a few of them might get pretty difficult after a while. I'll see how it goes. I just had a kind of tough assignment actually. We had to read the story of Icarus and find a newer story to relate it to. After several hours, I decided to compare it to Moby Dick. I'm not sure what my professor will think of that though. It's probably not the most traditional choice. Oh well.

That's okay! Questions are good! I love questions! Except math questions. Ewww. Yeah, my roommate is amazing! We've been watching Doctor Who videos on youtube all night. Haha. It's fantastic. College is pretty much exactly as I imagined it. Maybe a little bit better. I mean, my friend and I have been conducting a social experiment. We sit outside our dorm playing pokemon on gameboy colors to see how many people say something. So far, we've done it twice and gotten one person each time. Next week, we're going to try it in the middle of campus where there are a lot more people. Hehe. There's not much going on right now. Most people went home for the weekend, so that's kind of sad. It's okay though. They'll be back next week! Marching band is really hard! I'm not incredibly coordinated, so I don't know if it's easier for some people than it is for me, but yeah. It's pretty difficult. I'm not good at thinking about that many things at once! So how's school going for you? Have you gotten a lot of homework yet?
At 8:23pm on September 4, 2009, Nerdfighter Gina said…
Yay for macs! It's okay that you haven't been on for a while. I know how it goes. Yeah... I was 8 when I read the first three books. The rest weren't out yet. Lol. You would probably have to start Doctor Who from the beginning. Although it IS possible to jump in anywhere, I wouldn't recommend it if you want to get the full Doctor Who experience (which is amazing, by the way). My roommate is really, really awesome! I just got her to become a nerdfighter. She drew a pikachu on the dry erase board on our room! I think we're going to get along really, really well. :D So right now, it's Friday night and we're at college, and there are three people sitting in my room on laptops. Haha. For some reason, I though college would be more... interesting. We really just need to go do something! But every time we say that, we say, "well, what should we do?" "...meh." And then we continue to sit here. It's a fun time. I joined marching band! Which is a big deal for me because my high school didn't have one. We had like, extreme marching band boot camp for 4 days. It nearly killed me, but I've nearly learned how to march properly! YAY FOR PROGRESS!

Well, there are a couple that I think are particularly adorable and not quite as annoying, so I suppose I kind of favor them, but I like all of them. Even the obnoxious ones. I think there are one or two who really like me, and they're really cute. Hehe.

My family is pretty close. I mean, we live far away from each other, but we still see each other a lot, which is really, really awesome. So yeah. That's always fun.

It's a Macbook Pro. I like Macs. They're nice because they don't like... die. I'm not good enough with computers to keep them from dying, so I just got one that doesn't die. It's a good solution for me. Do you like Mac or PC?

I started reading it somewhere between when the third and fourth book came out, sooo... hang on, I'm going to look it up. About '99, so 10 years ago, which means I would have been 8. Oh dear... now I feel old. Wow. But yeah. The only reason I remember that is because I remember being really, really excited about the 4th book, and I wouldn't have been if I hadn't read the rest of them first (obviously).

Do you like Doctor Who? I'm pretty sure I asked you before, but I don't remember! Sorry! Anyway, I showed it to my mom and now she's obsessed with it. It's awesome.
At 4:54pm on July 19, 2009, Nerdfighter Gina said…
I like working with the kids! They're so adorable! Okay, so they were kind of horrible at first, but now they listen to me because they know me. I only have a week left though. Sadness! Oh well. I still need many more hours, so I'll have plenty of time to get sick of them later.

Haha. Yeah, huge family reunions are fantastic! That would be a very traumatizing 7 year old experience though! I would probably cry too, but bubbles are good! Yay bubbles!

So I just got a new laptop recently (I've named it Alonzo)! It's really awesome, but it's difficult to type at this angle. Ah well. I'll just try to avoid that in the future.

What did you think of the Harry Potter movie? I liked it. I mean, it obviously didn't compare to the book, but as far as movies go, it was really good. Haha. I just finished reading the 3rd book again about 10 minutes ago. I'm reading all of them again. Just because I felt like it. I mean, I have plenty of other books sitting, unread, on my bookshelf, but I need to read Harry Potter a lot. It's kind of becoming a problem. Ah well. There are many worse problems.

It's okay that it took you a while to respond. I've been pretty busy this summer too!
