Thanks for the thought, but I know when somebody's deliberately trying to be a jerk- even if it's online, it's somewhat obvious or easy to sense sometimes- and this time, some of the ppl, I could tell, didn't exactly come here to make friends or expand their network, but more or less to waste time, starting arguments, riots, and just bullshit chat drama that frankly doesn't benefit the rest of us at all- and it just defied the point of me going to the main chat room, if that crap's gonna happen every time I visit- it's immature and ridiculous. According to my personal experiences with other nerds, we can sometimes be incredibly rude, offensive, vicious, and just frankly assholes- just really bitter, sour, dark, twisted, messed up ppl- and those ppl were bitter nerds- an unfortunate breed of nerd to come across.
Thanks man, great to meetcha too! I tried meeting ppl on the main chat room earlier and frankly that didn't really pan out too well, cuz they were those super-sarcastic "I've given up on life- so I'm gonna be a jerk" kinda nerds, and I say f--- that: so this is a nice discovery. I feel very welcomed man, thanks.
It's a fun place! Maybe you can help me with something, though. I'm trying to find official information on the Foundation to Decrease World Suck to submit to my employer so we can add them to our list of charities. However, there seems to be nothing beyond vlog's and past history with the Project for Awesome 2011. I'm looking for causes that will be supported, official verification that it is or isn't religious (I need it to not be religious for work), etc. Maybe the forums? I'm used to more formal communication methods when working with entities so this is a bit awkward for me.
