Hello! Thanks for the heads up about the facebook page, would you believe I hadn't even thought about looking for one on facebook? That's how tech-savvy I am!

Yay for Discworld! Have you reached the stage where you can't stop yourself from randomly quoting it in public and people give you funny looks? I've lost count of how many times I've said "The leopard does not change his shorts" and been met with the sound of crickets chirping.......

Also, the Wheel of Time is awesome. I'm looking forward to the last book.....if it ever arrives!

Yep that's me! :D Well I'm getting my exam results tomorrow but I hope to do English and Philosophy! But here's hoping I get it!

The book club Idea sounds awesome! Any excuse to drink coffee in public is a good one! I'll hopefully be starting college in Dublin soon so I'd love to come and say Hi sometime! :D I love your videos btw, they are awesomely lovely!

Thanks for saying hi! I was starting to think that there was no one in the area worth talking to! xD

Oooh I hope you were here for the sunshine! :D (Which lasted a whole THREE days - lucky us! :P)

Sorry I totally failed at replying! D: I thought I had...some say it's the thought that counts but I doubt that's what they meant :P

Wow, Florida? Do you miss the sun at all?? haha It's usually miserable here :( That's why I'll be spending this summer in The Netherlands ;D They have proper summers over there haha...I was so disappointed that John Green decided to visit Amsterdam last month, if he had just waited a couple pf months I could have met him! :(

Hahah no worries! :) I'm like that myself more often than I care to admit..must be my 'old age' :P

I've actually never been in Blaa Blaa Blaa before so quite possibly! I hear they do great sandwiches tho so it very well could be the place!

Hah the closest I've gotten to the top of that tower is on some interactive website similar to Google street view! And I haven't toured the castle since I was 3...though I've been in the Butler gallery many times so it sort of counts...:P I went to see James Vincent McMorrow play in St.Canice's cathedral (the old church :P) for arts weeks last year actually! It was beyond amazing :3

Hahah yeah, popping the collar and shooting :P I like to pretend Garrus and I are best bro's sometimes. Except I'm not a 'bro' but you know...:P

Ah I see! Where do you hail from then? You liking it here so far? :)

At 10:34pm on February 22, 2012, Bee Collins said…

Ah yes, nothing like a really good sandwich and a coffee xD Hmm...I think you might be talking about Kieran Street! Hahah! There are a few sandwiches places on that street tho so I can't be certain which one :P I'll be in town tomorrow, I'll have to keep an eye out, I'm curious now!

There's a place named 'Blaa Blaa Blaa Sandwiches' but I think it's mostly blue.

Well I hope you enjoyed our humble little town! :P I keep meaning to do all the 'touristy' stuff here. Since I live here it's easy to take it for granted. What places did you visit?

And yes, Garrus is my home boy!! Collar pop, scope and drop yo! :P

I could have sworn I replied, I remember writing it ... maybe I forgot to click 'add comment' or something. Sounds like something I'd do -_- Anyway, apologies for the extremely delayed reply!

Good luck 'borrowing' your friend's guitar ;)

I do love the Freelance Whales. Hopefully a new CD will come out soon. Their first one is called 'Weathervanes', and it's great!

I do tend to lean towards folk music a lot. It's not for everyone xD

As for writing ... I've written quite a few obscenely short stories. Anything longer has, thus far, been discontinued. I think I lack the patience :P Hopefully I can work on that. I'd love to write something for the fantasy genre, but I tend to be rather cynical about my own work, which is a bad mix with creativity. Oh well.

What genre do you write scripts for?

And, just as a BTW, as I know, from your t-shirt, that you love a good protest (:P), there's a protest on ACTA (Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement) next Saturday, Feb 4th, in town. ACTA is scarily similar to SOPA in the US, and could destroy the internet through censorship. Sorry if I'm being a bother, but I'm trying to raise awareness, 'cause it freaks me out (my paranoid mind keeps envisioning a V for Vendetta-like future. I love that movie, but it's really not how I want the future to go :P).

It's a friggin brilliant book! I highly suggest it, the writing is amazing. Markus Zusack's writing style in it is so unique. You should definitely definitely read it if you get the chance.

It may not be the nicest but it sure is fun. I think that's what counts most.

One can only hope ;) And Fast Car is really fun, but I tend to mess up as soon as I try to sing along xD Just find it difficult to focus on the rhythm and words at the same time ... it's an issue :P

Hope you manage to get access to a guitar soon xD If not, you must find people in your course, ask them if they play guitar and say, "Hey, me toooo! We should be friends," and then 'borrow' theirs occasionally :D That's what I'd do ... Then again, that might not reflect so well on me xD

The Freelance Whales are one of my favourite bands. They played in Dublin just last year (I was very excited) and it was great, but they mostly tour America :P Stupid Atlantic. They've a new CD coming out this year, though, so that'll be cool :D

Other bands ... few that I love as much as them, but there's always Mumford & Sons (much better known, obviously), and another favourite of mine would be Blind Pilot (who I saw because they played support to the Decemberists). But the FW are kind of just very different from most things, so, yeah xD

Listened to that Josh Turner song. It's so bouncy xD Sounds like it'd be fun to play.

For country music, I'm very picky. Some of it I can't stand (often completely irrational dislike), and some of it I think is amazing. Favourites of a country-ish kind (I'm bad at categorising music) would be Josh Ritter, Rodney Crowell and James McMurtry. Oh, and does Bob Dylan count as country? 'Cause I love Bob.

Sounds like fun!

I do play guitar, though not really with a level of expertise xD Just chords, mainly, used as an accompaniment to my voice. I do love it, though. I play mostly a lot of random songs, but there's a few Bob Dylan ones in there, Freelance Whales (if you don't know who they are ... well, that's pretty normal xD), I keep attempting 'Fast Car' by Tracy Chapman, Decemberists, other random country/folk/rock shtuff xD Do you play any instruments?

Film school, huh? Awesome :D Where are you studying? And what made you choose Ireland?

While Chapters would be a favourite for me personally, for true nerdom I would have to say Forbidden Planet. Anime, sci-fi, fantasy, graphic novels, memorabilia ... yeah, definitely nerdy xD

I agree that my hobbies are awesome ;) Where did you move from? Also, I approve of your t-shirt :D There were some awesome (and nerdy) placards at that march. Which I found hilarious. Kind of irrelevant, but hilarious :D
