I know! Contour drawing yay! License to do crappy drawings. The best. I can't wait til tomorrow so I can have some time. I did a flower picture and put it in my photos on GR, but I still need to do green/blue self portrait, white painting, and now the hands thing. I've got to git bizzy.
I understand!!! I think I will cave this year and let my son have his sleepover party. Last year he kept taking one or two freinds to his room to play, so I think he will like it better. Also, we have a WII and a few multi- player games to play.
Hi back! All is well here just busy. I have a Oscar type event to go to this week and am overly excited about dressing up. I never dress up and this time I have a little(for me anyway)black dress and am ready to party.
Ooooo scuffed up leather journals. With maybe some sea salt rubbed in from ole nova scotia. Yeah. They can't beat your home-made, but you deserve a break. Here's my desktop valentine shot of the little old girl.
thanks for the v-day card. i have totally been slacking on my nerdfightin' friends, but we just bought a house in the woods and have been doing major home reno there, plus tons of ice and snow to deal with, and i have been a slacker in many realms. happy heart day to you!
*sorry part two* Web site but don't know how to leavwe a comment. Ihope that you will still stick around a little. I will be very sad if all the "older nerds" left.
Oh, Cat Stevens!! I was so young one summer staying at my Grandma's house, nosing throught my cousin's albums. Tea for the Tillerman informed my life.......I just burned a cd with all my Cat Stevens and a few covers like 10,000 maniacs, it has been the most awesome soundtrack. Odder still to listen to it across the generation gap - my son thinks he's awesome too. Oh lord how they play and play, for that happy day - for that Happy Day!
:)
I envy you the art, I'm more a watcher in that arena, I love to look, but creating frustrates me. I hopped over to Jared's page with Keeley and it is amazing there, just the pictures alone are amazing....
I have to admit that outside about a dozen members here, i am just about over the nerdning. One more inane blog post about being bored, or another incindiary post about politics or abortion and I may snap. I think I'm too old or cranky to play in this sandbox. I'll get back to you on that!
I will bump Confederacy to the top of my finish it pile! Your comment made me laugh, I could have written much of it myself, especially the reading too much, struggling to find fulfillment in laundry and dishes, etc! Lucky for me the hubby doesn't travel much, so I'm not outnumbered. We too are struggling some with school, one doesn't care much about anything, the other wants me to home school her!!! That would tip the crazy balance a bit, I'm afraid. We have raging hormones and colds adding to the wintry mix, so its a crazy house!
Outlander - how do I describe it - massive, I'm just halfway at 400+ pages. It's pretty well written, rip-roaring time travel love story, and I'm a sucker for the Scottish Highlands, but I didn't expect all the s.e.x. it has in it, so it crosses the chick lit line sort of like the other Boleyn sister does. I am ashamed to admit how much I like reading the story, how hard it is to put down. I just finished angle of repose, which was a challenging read and a Pulitzer winner, so I guess they balance out!
Hysterical that you dreamed of an Ingatius baby! He is one of the most memorable characters I have ever encountered, and I still get tickeld thinking about him working in the office, wreaking havoc. As soon as I'm done with Claire and Jamie lost in time, I'm heading back to Confederacy!
