So there's this apartment I really really want. It's on this street that I think I talked about here somewhere. I go park on that street in the fall and walk along it kicking leaves. It's lined with maples. The maples don't start 'til a block down but it's a great walking area. And safe. And closer to work. And closer to the beach. I'll be filling in an application today and faxing it. They say "no pets" so I've got to do some fast talking/writing to convince them to let me move in with Dinah. I really really want this. And I HATE that. Really really wanting stresses me out like you wouldn't believe. I'm good at coping. At making do. I'm great in a crisis. But really really wanting. Not good. I almost can't take it. I wish there was somebody I could hire to "make it happen" while I go about my business. Hah. It's half the size of this place and there's no balcony but the location makes up for it. Here's a picture. The apartment is in the back though. If I get it, I'll put photos up.

I have a really stressful/exciting summer coming up (though I'm trying to enjoy the sunshine, warm breezes, etc.) I'm studying to be a Librarian, and I have to find a co-op placement and complete a certain number of hours before August 14th. I can feel my bloodpressure rising. My College library says that they can't accomidate me because another student beat me to the punch, and now I'm waiting twiddling my thumbs for another University Library to get back to me about my request to work there. *sigh* I am TERRIBLE at waiting when I wanna get going and get all this useless worrying behind me!!!..

The original dragon sketch had such great movement. Love the composition. And you've got your own signture marks. I an see E's hand in them all. Remember waaay back before God was born and I told you to be sure to do your own thing and not make it be like everybody elses? That was so totally unnecessary! You have such a strong signature - even when you're trying out all these new things. Sooo cool. Looka little corner of my desk w/E stuff.

On the little card, did you use a piece of binding lace as a stamp? Or stencil? Whatever that white track is it's really cool. And those deep old cathedral arches (or bridge arches where Harry smashed the dragon) - it just goes back so deep. I wouldn't have thought you could get that kind of depth in a little tiny artwork. Amazing really. And I put the veela in one of those Ikea magnetized plexi frames. The 2 little silver magnets at the top and bottom bugged me though to I just black markered a dot over them. Bugs me less. It's like a little sculptural megalithic standing stone on my desk. Likin' it. (and perfect size!).

I went to the thrift store looking for a trike. Want some wheels to run over a painting. There wasn't one but I bought some clogs with pretty cool treads on the bottom and a pair of little kids shoes that had interesting marks on the bottom so we'll see. (I don't know if I could actually deprive a kid of a trike by taking it from the thrift store - it was hard enough to take these little red shoes - I may have to find wheels elsewhere.)

He said, "you got your mail." "Yup." "Did you see the package on top of the boxes?" "Whaaaaat!!????" So I ran back down, grabbed it and ran back up to his apartment. "You got scissors? comeoncomeoncomeoncomeon." He had to be witness to the choked up happy dance. And the squeals in the upper registers. I was NOT expecting that! I am so HONORED!! Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I love it. I just kept petting it. Now it's sitting next to me looking so slick and professional and beautiful! Wow! The cover is soooo beautiful. And its so shiny and REAL!! I don't know what to do with myself! I LURVE it!!! Thank you sooooo much. Sniff.

Every time I try to have a heart healthy breakfast like oatmeal or sumpin' my blood sugar tanks and I feel awful. I gotsta get me a good strong base of protein before I scarf that icecreamcookiecakepie. hahaha Are you kIDDING me? You're doing the painting a day thing? How cool. How energetic! I just took a shower and sat back down with weak, wobbly arms here to recover. I've been working too hard - for real. I've already told him that this pace canNOT be maintained - that if we don't get caught up and have a do-able work load, I'm going to have to rethink the whole deal. If I go past my tolerance level (the wall) I get clinically exhausted. (Lupus) If I respect the wall, I'm fine. I have to go to Costco this morning but I think I'm going to just pull the big chair over and watch some Lost and relax until that time comes. The hoi poloi aren't allowed in until 11:00. Just gonna go check the ning and see if you've put up any of your stuff.

I just printed a stencil of Dinah. Gonna be cut intensive though so maybe I'll cut it out next weekend. I've still got to do the Dinah painting/drawing thingy. Gonna do that as soon as my aigs are done boiling. I've got to seriously diet 'cuz I've been binging on ice cream and cookies. And when I seriously diet I have to think of food just as fuel and not as something good to eat - hence the hard boiled aigs fer brekky. Me and food, can you say 'dysfunctional' boys and girls?

I've got to start carrying my camera around with me again. I don't have time anymore for much but those li'l instant artworks please ME. I did start a flip chart painting yesterday morning. Gonna try to do one of Dinah the bird murdurur. Really, for me? In the mail? "I've got presents?" :-DDDD

At 12:11pm on April 16, 2009, Me said…: Yes, we had a very busy anti-E Easter!! lol!! I made 36 cup cakes for the Sunday classes and had fun with my little class of 6 girls. (I have had a class of all boys for the past 4 years and now that they have move to the older class I just keep getting more and more girls. The calmness and bows can be overwhelming!):) Then after that we went to my hubbies dad's house for lunch and at 4 went to his mom's for dinner. Oh, and my dad stopped by sometime in the middle!! So, over all we have 5 chocolate bunnies, 2 3ft tall gummy snakes, 60 jellies bean filled eggs, and About a 1/2 pound of m & m's and chocolate eggs. No wonder I am proud to have only eaten half a bunny. (OH, by the way it is ALL gone!!)

Just stopped by here to comment on your posts on your universe blog(yep, I still have no clue why I can't comment there, but it is me we are talking about.) I LOVED your mom's day post and plan on having my Hubie read it too. Very jealous about the strawberries cake and easy Easter morning. LOL on the healthy because only the top was covered in butter cream. That's like Me being heather by only eating half a bunny instead of all 5 my kids got for Easter!! And as always your art and the art you find is just amazing!!
