I'm a big fan of Kim Harrison, and H.P. Lovecraft.
As for salem, I'm there a considerable amount, but I've only been to the museum once, and that as some time ago. The town itself is amazing though. It's like you can feel the age to it.

hello! and happy Samhain!
I'm always excited to meet a fellow wiccan nerdfighter, as you're right there are so few of us! I noticed that you're a fan of mystery and horror fiction, do you have any favorite authors? personally I read a lot of Laurell K. Hamilton. :)
Blessed Be

hi!
yeah, i wrote a huge paper on the early modern witch hunts. my knowledge usually surprises people, because i don't look particularly witchy i guess.
Sorry to have not replied for like 3 months! Wow! Where did the time go?
My life is so crazy right now >.br />
How are things? Is the co-op still going on? Do you like it?
oop your comment slipped by me. wow you are busy, is it fun busy? i understand the procrastinatey nature of the net, so no worries. my summer has been pretty good, weather was nice, some cool festivals and lots of sunscreen lol. how are you holding up?
*laughs*
I made the under-part of the costume, and my mom made the over-dress. (It was originally for a school concert, and we were pressed for time)
P.S. Half the people in my hometown think I already AM a librarian, mostly because I have a tendency to help small children find books that they can't remember the titles of, and I practically LIVE at the library when I'm not at college.
Man, I hear you - I work full time... and I'm still broke. I really want to be a librarian, so I'm thinking I should start school within the next few years. >.< I give myself until I'm 30 to finish school and have kids... Assuming that that works with my life. If not, you know, re-evaluate. But that's the plan. Currently not many places offer courses for library sciences...
Thanks Evelyne! :) I guess I am a fun Mom, when life isn't BEATING ME DOWN! Kidding, kidding. Kinda. ;) It's been too busy around here for many fun projects lately. Just treading water...know what I mean? It's that end of May/June hump before school is out for the summer and kids are dragging. Just 5 more weeks, and I fully intend to be a ridiculously fun mom this summer!
How 'bout you? How's stuff?
Why thank you!
The weather is actually really pleasant over here right now. Surprisingly.
I've been to Ontario a couple times. Definitely preferred it in the winter. I couldn't take the summer heat.
Yay for library sciences! I haven't actually started my post secondary yet, because I'm just not ready for it at the moment. Good luck in the co-op! Is it a fun program so far? What school are you at?
Ah, here's the video. I think I cut out my nieces face, chest and arms on card and stuck it down at some point to block the washes that I was putting over it - so it would pick up the white from the back. Hard to remember process. But I watched THIS video and just imitated the steps, pretty much. Gary
Thanks for the comments on my page Elyne. (There that's easier to type than Evelyne every time, can't call you E 'cuz that's Evangeline.) And yeah I use the word amateur in the original definition - meaning 'for the love of the work' not to sell. But EVERYBODY chastises me for that. I've been meaning to go in and replace it with non-professional AND to replace my age 59 for 60. I'm gonna go do that right now. Except there seems to be more cool celtic stuff up top so let me go look at that first. And I need to find you that 'how to' video. Be back.
Things are melting, golf season will be starting soon... i use spring melt time to build customs computer cases cause i can't golf, i can't play hockey, it's nice out, so i can do my work outside... although apparently we are having a bad weekend coming up... which is normal... if we had a nice easter weekend in cold lake it would be a first in almost 20 years... we have now had 17 years of bad weather on easter weekend... :) i love northern alberta!
Thanks sooooooo much - love meeting other canucks and other nerdfighters... I will post more as I get them done - but they are only 5 inches complete but take several hours to complete each one!! I do love to do them... they are fun!
good to hear, it is really weird, this is my home town as well... i am actually a Grand Centre boy, this Cold Lake crap was changed without consulting me... :) and if you have never been north of edmonton, i encourage you to do so, beautiful country. my second home, where my parents live, is in Rainbow Lake AB, about 12 hours north of edmonton... give or take a bit.
