Dragonlance... start with Chronicles: Dragons of Autumn Twilight, Dragons of Winter NIght, and Dragons of Spring Dawning... and Dragons of Summer Flame (although not technically part of the Chronicles)... that will introduce the main band of characters and give you background to connect the rest of the books. I LOVED these books... they got me back into fantasy when I had almost forgotten how much I liked it. I liked the Legend's trilogy and most of the short stories too... but Soulforge is also an excellent stand alone, as long as you have read the Chronicles first. If you like the Chronicles then I would recommend WAITING on the Fifth Age books.. at least until you have had your fill of the Heroes, Legends, Villains, etc. books. Once you have read Fifth Age books you can't go back.

Drizzt is my fav Forgotten Realms character and the Drow are great in FR. I'd have to say that I am a D&D nerd.... but more of a Neil Gaiman nerd than a D&D nerd, if it really came down to it.

Yeah, sorry about that. I found it really hard as well, but I most of my Nerdfighter friends have done this already. I need to read them.

Yeah, school starts late January/early February here. It sort of depends on the school, even the government funded ones. I start way before my friends from other schools.

Thanks for your comment on my blog about my sister, Elise =) She's been having a couple of really good days, and I'm headed up to MA to be with everyone on Thursday, so things are pretty good (considering). Was nice to see that someone took the time to read what I wrote, thanks again.

Sure! I don't understand all that stuff in Abundance of Katherines though. Being a Nerdfighter, I tried to put a version of the equation into my calculator, but it didn't work.
