BOOK RECOMMENDATION CHAIN/CHALLENGE!! READ ME!!

So I have this awesome idea.

There are so many awesome book recommendations on this site, and I can't possibly read all of them and figure out what they're about and choose.

I propose this plan. Someone recommend me 2 books (2...just in case I have already read one of them). These should be books that you have read and really like and feel the NEED to share.

I will HAVE to buy/rent one of these books and start it in the next month. When I'm done I'll tell you how I liked it and then we can be book buddies.

The next person to blog, recommends two books for the person above them and the nest for the person above them and the process continues. It's kind of like the "rate hotness of the person above you" forums on other sites but way less lame and way more awesome!

Sound good? Oh and we should include little bios of ourselves for recommending purposes.

ex: I'm a girl. I'm 20. I've already read almost every Stephen King book (so don't rec one of those). I like almost any well written book...any category. Oh, but not Dostoevsky.

What's wrong with Dostoevsky? :-P

just not a big fan. I read Crime and Punishment and I fell asleep countless times trying to finish it.

The Underground Man is better, but to be honest, I'd suggest cliff-note-ing his books. His ideas are good, but his presentation isn't the best.

I COMPLEATLY agree with you on Neverwhere, but i have to respectfully diasgree with you on the twilight seriese-- i just think she cant write

i'm a big fan of the twilight series but i can definatley see what you mean by she can't write!!...the only reason i like them is for the story

It took me longer than it should have but I read Twilight! I bought it like a week ago and started reading it Friday and finished it yesterday and then I bought New Moon literally an hour after I finished Twilight and I am a hundred pages away from finishing that.

I CAN"T STOP!!! They are SO addicting. Oh man...oh man. Thank you so much for recommending it.

I'm 16. I like to read really clever fantasy novels, silly teen romance novels, and books about dystopias.

You should read Nightlie by Rob Thurman or Someday This Pain Will be Useful to You by Peter Cameron.

I'm a big fan of dystopias. I suggest the following:
Brave New World, by Aldous Huxley
The Giver, forget who wrote it and it's in storage so I can't look
The Penultimate Truth, by Philip K. Dick

Lois Lowry wrote The Giver.

I love that book. I was in the play too. I was Fiona. That was fun.

I need to stop rambling.

I'm 15. A girl. Chyeah. And I like historical romances (eg Michelle Paver) and fantasy novels.

Person above me (I believe that's who I'm addressing?) should read The Keys to the Kingdom series by Garth Nix (okay, sorry that's three books). Or if you've already read them Girl, 16, Pants on Fire by Sue Limb.
