Superman's Burden

In the light of this week's past events in Paris, Beirut, and other places around the world , we here at The NYRD have been doing a lot of soul searching. Any loss of innocent lives is worth a pause and a prayer, but being New Yorkers we feel a kinship with those who have lived through the events of cowardly and horrific acts of terror. Our hearts and our thoughts are with our brothers and sisters across the Atlantic, in the Middle East, and everywhere else there is suffering. In situations such as these it is always the "what ifs" that cause the most pain. What if someone had gone left instead of right? What if that person had decided not to go out that night? What if an attack could have been predicted and stopped? What if we had the power to never let something this happen…

An Open Letter to Change

Change is not always a good thing, but there is little we can do about it other than embrace it and move on. I tried to convey that with something personal in this spoken letter. Felt like a good idea at the time. It is not all that often I make videos, be on The Nerdfightersinfo Colab channel (NFi) or on my own channel, let alone a serious one. But once in a while I fancy a change.

I usually try to write pretty happy go lucky music, However do to recent tragic events I wanted to say some things about the uncomfortable topic of racism in America. It is my hope that by having this conversation we can make some desperately needed progress. Thanks for listening.
