Welcome to the Nerdfighter Ning!

We hope you have a nice time hanging out here. There's one thing though... Running a website has a few costs associated with it. There's the physical server hosting, and you've got to make sure your domain doesn't expire. Any donations towards this would be most appreciated.

Striving towards a Gender-less Society? 37 Replies

As someone who is Agender Pansexual I have never understood the point of gender roles in our society. Its just something that I don't personally see. Do you think that as society progresses these 'gender roles' we have will dissipate? And is there…Continue

Why do you people always call during Bleet-blorp?
So I was away last week, and during my time off I found myself revisiting Space Chronicles by Neil deGrasse Tyson. This was my second read through and I tore through it in about a day and a half. Partly I used the book as a resource for a writing project I have been working on, but it also could have been the trip to the Kennedy Space Center in Florida that helped to re-inspired my return to…

Tam does life

Outside of the internet, I'm by trade a photographer. I work landscapes, sunrises and the likes mostly, outside of forestscapes or your general nature tom-foolishness. The video above is from a year or so back now, I wasn't able to get many photographs that day so I nabbed a wee video instead, hope you enjoy!

February Blurbing Book Club - More Than This by Patrick Ness

A boy drowns, desperate and alone in his final moments. He dies.

Then he wakes, naked and bruised and thirsty, but alive.

How can this be? And what is this strange deserted place?

As he struggles to understand what is happening, the boy dares to hope. Might this not be the end? Might there be more to this life, or perhaps this afterlife?

From multi-award-winning Patrick Ness comes one of the most provocative and moving novels of our time.

***The tag line from John Green says it all, really: Just read it.

I've chosen More Than This by Patrick Ness for the blurbing book club in February for several…

Fourth Year Roleplay

Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire role-play. You can use the regular characters, or the ones you make up. You can use these two methods:Jamie Potter walked into the great, glancing at the Slytherin table. She sighed; thinking: "What pathetics." OrJamie- *walks into the great hall and glances at the Slytherin table and sighs* "thinks: What pathetic losers*If out of character use "OOC" first.
