"I did it in August with absolutely no planning and it turned out fine, if a little scrambled. This month I've thought about it more, but I have proved to myself that you don't have to plot to write a novel. Sometimes it's fun to just…"
"I'm outlining everything this year this month, and then when november rolls arounds it'll be like turning an outline into a news article but you can actually show emotion! It'll be a whole lot easier then jumping into the writing…"
"I tried to plan ahead and came up with nothing. I still didn't know what I was going to write about when the first rolled around. I just forced myself to start typing something and a story just evolved from that.
"This is my first year doing it, so I still don't know from experience, but I planned mine somewhat. I know what I want the book to be about and I have a very basic out line of the plot. I also created a main conflict and I gave it a twist. I…"
"It just depends on really how much you love the idea, how long you want the story to be, and how much the idea has grown in your head. In general, if I'm trying to go novel, i want some kind of gameplan with at least a couple of…"
"This is my third year, and first planned. The last two were remarkably bad that I'm STILL afraid to look at them. I haven't won yet either because when I hit 35000 last year, I realised the last 5000 words were plot filler (a maniac bus…"

"I haven't read through all the responses here yet, but I'm sure my advice is hardly going to be hugely original, but most certainly sincere.
As you so wisely pointed out there are pros and cons to both approaches to writing. My first…"
"That's a good idea! I'll have to try that sometime.
Hmmm... Zadie do you have any advice on how exactly to plan a complex novel? Because I want to do one, but I haven't the slightest idea where to start."
I am more philosophical than my age suggests. I like to think deeply about controversial subjects and come up with my own views. I am a very understanding person, but sometimes I get a little carried away when I start talking about things that I'm passionate about. I also like to write and to read as well.
