Harry or Obi-Wan?

Wizards or Jedi? That is the question folks. I just recently started re-watching the Star Wars movies and I am reminded just how awesome the Jedi are. I don't think they can top wizards in my mind.…Continue

I Love Being a Boy!

Hey all,

I just got done being Puck for my college's production Shakespeare in Hollywood and let me tell you-I kind of enjoyed being a boy! All the girls loved me!(lol) one guy audience member actually thought I WAS a boy so I must have some killer acting skills. Check out my Profile Pic and the pics above to see how sweet I look as a dude-lol!! Perhaps I had a little to much fun stepping into boys clothing....but here is one thing I will not miss---Tuxes!! Damn they are hot and… Continue

Stress levels at extreme high.

Any other theatre majors out there? Any? Only they will feel my pain. I have a lighting design tomorrow morning, I have to do some research on the play I'm directing while putting the final touches on my role for the show I am IN. (that's right, directing one play, acting in another-no fun.) All the while still trying to get good grades and hold down a job.

Super stressed right now. But bitching about it makes me feel better.

Blog of Theatre Nerd part 1.

So instead of writing a paper of the wonders of Modernism in Theatre I decided to finally join BH2.0. How cool am I? Pretty cool I think. yall.

What to say? Well. I'm from Kansas. I'm 22 and studying theatre. I'll graduate in a year with my BSE and then I plan on going to grad school somewhere or maybe acting a bit.

Life is pretty uninteresting right now. I mean, I'm in a show right now-It's called Shakespeare in Hollywood and it's pretty neat. I play Puck… Continue

Yeah. That would be cool, but I like staying on land. :] I do want to get my degree in fine arts first, definitely.

That sounds so amazing! My dream Shakespeare role is Beatrice. I love her character so much...

I do want to try and become an actress professionally, but I want to go to college first to serve as a backup.

I don't see myself doing anything else BUT acting. I can't imagine having a desk job. It saddens me. Hopefully, I'll enjoy the outcome of my efforts. I'm not looking for fame. I'm not looking for money. I'm just looking for satisfaction and happiness by doing the things I love. I don't care If I'm dirt poor. If I'm happy acting in a little theatre off-off-Broadway, life is good.'

Awesome! What are you rehearsing for?

Ah. I love Nathan Lane.

I would like to study classical theatre and musical theatre at NYU in the future, but right now, my school doesn't offer a drama program (which increases worldsuck incredibly). Next year, there will be one, hopefully. So, I'd say that I was both, :] a fan and an actress.

Theatre is everything to me. There is nothing more in the world that I would rather do or sacrifice everything for. It is made of utter awesome.

Thanks for the suggestions! I really need to get into reading more plays. I've kind of been focusing on Musical Theatre right now. I absolutely love Arthur Miller, and YOU GOT TO SEE DAVID MAMET?! Jealous! :]
