"neither one of them should advertise, but Atheist think just because they DON'T believe something means they should be able to advertise, both of them are in the wrong"

"I didn't use why, but I guess I'll keep that in mind.  What are the unfortunate connotations?"

Kenny replied to Gwen's discussion Should This Be Allowed?
"Perfect.  The phrase "[Why] is it not right to tell people what to believe" can have unfortunate connotations."

Paulsifer replied to Gwen's discussion Should This Be Allowed?
"How about, is this just your opinion, or is there really sound logic that makes you believe that we shouldn't be giving each other advice on how to live.  Does that sound better?"

Kenny replied to Gwen's discussion Should This Be Allowed?
"You should strongly consider rephrasing that to sound less authoritarian."

Abreo replied to Gwen's discussion Should This Be Allowed?
"I don't see why anybody cares, companies advertise shit to people all the time. Is it any worse than telling you to eat a Big Mac? Not really."

Paulsifer replied to Gwen's discussion Should This Be Allowed?
"Where are you getting your information that it is not right to tell people what to believe?"

Paulsifer replied to Gwen's discussion Should This Be Allowed?
"Try looking at it from this perspective:  Faith is a personal experience.  The Christains who put that on the bus can honestly say that they have experienced God.  Who are you to say otherwise.  Both buses portraid what the group…"

Sam Taylor replied to Gwen's discussion Should This Be Allowed?
"I don't see why either side should get the privelege to advertise their belief system. It isn't right to try and tell people how to live their lives or what to believe. The public are intelligent enough to decide what to believe, please…"

Peter Medeiros replied to Gwen's discussion Should This Be Allowed?
"Exactly. No one gets swayed by these things. And if you are swayed, your convictions probably aren't worth that much anyway."

Effie replied to Gwen's discussion Should This Be Allowed?
"Yeah, the first one isn't that bad. I like the second part, even if I disagree with the first. Which is coming from a Christian. At least it's keeping the matter open, and just trying to get people to enjoy their life. The Christian Party…"

What Kind of Nerdfighter Are You?
Science Nerd and Book Worm
About Me:
I'm a nerd in the sense that I sit and I read. A lot. A heck of a lot. I mean, I do not go a day without reading. There are piles of books everywhere in my room and I am pretty sure one day the floor is going to cave in under the sheer weight of all the books in my room. I found all of this after looking up John after reading Looking For Alaska ( amazing amazing amazing book).

I also love science, apart from chemisrty. That annoys me. But heck, science is amazing. I especially love large scale physics (e.g Space) and also the more geography orientated side of science too. One day I hope to study vulcanology or seismology or something similar.

I also play Double Bass and Bass Guitar. Piano too but I despise that. One day I shall try and get a picture of me with a Double Bass on my head to prove it can be done.

Other nerdy habits include watching Brotherhood 2.0 and other such internet frolicks including spending most of my life behind a computer screen.
Favorite Books, Movies, Music, and more
The Book Thief, Markus Zusak
Looking for Alaska. John Green
Candy, Kevin Brooks.
Inkheart, Cornelia Funke
Neverwhere, Neil Gaiman
A Short History of Nearly Everything, Bill Bryson

Many many many more.
What's your favorite thing to put on your head?
My Double Bass
If you could do your happy dance with anyone who would it be with?
John Green, Hank Green, Markus Zusak and Barak Obama
When did you start watching the Vlogbrothers?

PudgeColinHankColonolRothSpiegelman the Trolley

One grey and slightly murky day, an intruging tale began. A small, wire creature was found by two Nerdfighters. This creature was strange, it looked like an everyday Supermarket trolley except for two things: 1. It was in the middle of a park. 2. It never forgot to be awesome.

This Trolley was named PudgeColinHankColonolRothSpiegelman and was made an honorary Nerdfighter. It was obvious the Trolley had to be returned but it had to see the sights beforehand. So off went the three companions… Continue

Yeah, Radiohead is the greatest and best band in the world. I'm pretty sure somebody heard Tenacious D wrong when they said it was them. What's your favorite Radiohead song?

Hey, thanks for the add! Yay Literature nerds! I love to read, too but don't get an awful lot of time to do it nowadays =(. Mucho revision for A levels atm. Are you doing the 50 books challenge by any chance? I'm trying...and failing. Hopefully I'll have more time when exams are other. Hope you're well.
