Welcome To Get A Job Records....Where Deadlines Mean NOTHING!

Profile Information

About Me:
There's not much to tell really, my name is Jamie, I sleep too much, and eat too little. In 2006 I got a certicicate in Radio Broadcasting at Canadore College of applied arts and technology. I spend far too much time on my computer. I play video games, collect albums and discographies, and occasionally put together pieces for a radio production demo that will likely never see the light of day. I also like to hang out with my friends and have long pointless (not so philosophic) Philosophical discussions. So there you have it, that's basically me in a nutshell (once you get past the first few layers of the nut's exterior of course. Should you need to know anything else please just ask.
When did you start watching the Vlogbrothers?

Get A Job Records Goes Sdrawkcab

Hey Everybody,

Welcome to 2009, and with a new year comes new episodes Of Get A Job Records. I know it's been a long time since my last post, so instead of always appologizing for my late arrivals I'll just say this instead: I HATE SOURCRAUT. Points to anyone who knows what Weird Al Yankovic Song I just referenced. Seriously though I suck outloud when it comes to meeting deadlines so from now on, when a show needs to be done, a show will be posted. No Deadlines. No Timeframes. No… Continue

Get A Job Records Was Here.....X, Then It Wasn't But Now It's Back!

Hey everybody,

This is Jamie. Sorry about the long break between this and my last episode, but I decided to put the show on a bit of a creative hiatus while I reviewed some of the show's rules and other elements. As a result the show's format has been slightly retooled, but that shouldn't be cause for alarm (All is explained in the new episode).

Now that the format has been reworked, I'll go back to trying to keep the show on a more regular schedule. Hope you guys like the… Continue

Get A Job Records Is Breakin' The Law Breakin' The Law, Breakin' The Law Breakin' The Law....

Hey everybody.

Happy Family Day, and as a reward for spending time today, with the people whose loins you sprung from, or maybe with people who sprung from those loins with you, or maybe with people who sprung from entirely different loins but who are still weird and wonderful enough to cal members of your family, I have for you a new episode of Get A Job Records. Don't you just love run on sentences?

I guess this is why the show can't have nice rules...Only one day out of… Continue

'Kosher' Dosen't always mean "It's Good For You"

Hey everybody,

Hope you all enjoy the new episode of get a job records. I feel the last couple have been a tad on the serious side, so I tried to give this one a lighter feel. If anybody would like to e-mail, questions or comments, or suggestions on how I can make the show better, feel free to e-mail me at getajobrecords@gmail.com.

Thanks for all the support, and thanks for listening everybody. Have a good one.

i wouldn't be able to call myself a puppeteer nerdfighter if i had not seen dark crystal. I recently went to Atlanta, GA to the Center for the Puppetry Arts , they had some of the puppets from Dark Crystal. I had heard rumors of a sequal, but i only thought it was rumors. It's good to hear that though. I will be one of the first in line, haha, nerdfighter!

talk to you later, mk

That makes sense. making a show seems a lot of work anyway. I will check in every so often then.

keep up the good work,

great show, i completely agree with what you talked about. I have actually started to listen to a lot of indie rock just because i am sick of all of the same sounding crap that is on the airwaves now.

btw, do you know like how often you will be posting a new show?

I liked you newest episode that was one great interview, seeing Cait's comment below made me think, you should totally interview people on like Skype or something and record it. I'm sure people would be willing to help out, the hard part is just getting a hold of them. Keep up the good work.

Hey Jamie! Sorry, I finally got to listen to your podcasts! :D They sound good, I really like the new rules, I think they will make things better. maybe you should try to interview some well known Nerdfighters? That might spark some more interest....
If you ever want a guest co-host, you know where to find one! :)
