Jen Appell has not received any gifts yet
Hey, I'm Jen and I'm a college sophomore. Last year, my stepdad was laid-off and the only income was coming from my mom who works as a customer service representative--you know, the person on the other end of the number that's printed on the back of lotions and such?--so it would be safe to assume that we're BROKE. I didn't really mind because I've always grown up like this. Until my mom remarried when I was in second grade, we lived with our grandparents because my mom was too poor to own…

This is a comment reply for something I saw you said on the Writer Nerdfighters page, about names. Sometimes you do need to use the baby wall, I usually do. But I usually search for the definition and meaning first, then mix the two. I have a character named Peyton Gallagher, which means: Love warrior. Sometimes if there is meaning behind the name, thats better than having the prettiest. No matter what you name your characters, you'll eventually grow on it, so don't let "The name isn't an alliteration!" make you think about it again. Though also don't screw up the names early. I'm writing a book, that is about an allusion of living in hell. The characters, are all named after 16th romantisist artists that painted hellish pictures, or the latin forms of the seven deadly sins. Some names are okay, but I have two characers, Steven Melancholy and Thomas Lechery, that are just straight up hints that the story is related to hell. But, I've been using those names for four years. After being so connected, and still knowing I HAVE to change it, I don't want to. No matter what the name, you will like it. And other people will too. Just don't name them, Harry Potter, or something. A name that can only be known through your book, and it doesnt need to be really catchy. Though my character Populus Lennox is a cool name.
