A somewhat nerdy and slightly eccentric Asian Nerdfighter
About Me:
I've lived in 4 different countries, 7 different cities, and 2 different states. I get annoyed when I don't know the answer to something. I'm indecisive. I love music, dancing, and British things/people.

Books: The Fault in Our Stars, Brave New World, 1984, Animal Farm, Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, etc. I pretty much love any book as long as it's good.
Movies: Harry Potter, and other movies
Music: anything by The Wanted, Ed Sheeran, Boyce Avenue, Coldplay, The Script, Jessie J, McFly, Adele, Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, Queen, Eminem, Leona Lewis, Tinie Tempah, etc. So basically I listen to anything and everything, even classical music.

Hahahaha it's cool. There are people my age here in Pakistan who don't want to talk about this, which is even more shocking. o_O Actually speaking, the ruler of Kashmir wanted it to remain an independent state, which he should have been allowed to do, since all the princely states of India were sovereign and it was decided they should have the right to decide whether to be a part of India or not. But then some freedom fighters in Kashmir, and some Pakistani's from Dir tried to liberate Kashmir from the rule of the Dogra dynasty, because they felt the Kashmiris wanted to be part of Pakistan (being a Muslim majority population). Hari Singh, in return for Indian aid was forced to sign the Instrument of Accession, and join India. The UN drew a Line of Control (which gave India 43% of Kashmir, including the capital), and said they would conduct a referendum to decide who should have control over Kashmir, which still hasn't been carried out. There are a lot of freedom fighters in Indian Kashmir, which tells us they obviously don't want to be a part of India, but if they wanted to be a part of Pakistan there would have been more local support of the Pakistani guerrilla movement to liberate Kashmir, which led to the 1965 war between Pakistan and India. We've had two wars over this issue, not to mention all the shit that went down in 1989, and the Kargill conflict of the early 2000s. I think Pakistan and India BOTH need to stop fighting over Kashmir like it's a piece of meat, because I think it's more to do with the with the fact that the headworks of the River Indus (very important to both of our agriculture) lie in the region that we are fighting, than with either of our governments caring much about the PEOPLE of Kashmir. The UN needs to keep its promises, and carry out that referendum, or make a whole-hearted attempt at resolution (I mean, seriously, it's been 65 years), and Pakistan and India need to chill their shit. I'd love to say that Kashmir is rightfully ours, because most of the people residing therein are Muslim, but if the Kashmiri people REALLY wanted to be a part of Pakistan, they'd have made it happen already. More on Pakistan later, have to go help make dinner. :)
