And sorry, I'd have responded in turn earlier and with a more in depth...response, but I've been busy lately and am busy still. Last year of high school+College Apps+Finals=Business.
So.
I sincerely apologize for how much of a prick I was before. I'm not going to excuse my behaviour with a, "You started it," or, "You deserved it," and I'm not trying to be the bigger man in apologizing. Rather, I'll be completely honest and admit that I was extremely immature. I shouldn't have insulted you, and I hope you forgive me for being such a child.
That said, I stand by my beliefs, and if you, in the future, insult or degrade me in any fashion I can't promise you that I won't respond in turn. I won't ask for an apology from you, or admit that there's anything you need to apologize for, but I will ask you to act maturely from now on if we continue to discuss/debate/shout-at-each-other regarding religion, philosophy, politics, or anything of the like.
The reason I'm apologizing is primarily selfish--I wanted to save face after realizing how childish I was, and as a result I decided that owning up to it was the best method of accomplishing that--but please understand that there is some admittedly reluctant sincerity in my apology as well.
Again, my sincerest apologies.
