Part 1
Just a little background... in the grand scheme of things this probably wont make much sense. Its a new opening passage I was experimenting with a while back because I don't like how my book opens, so I hacked this out. It also has a nice bonus of adjusting the structure so I can play with the time line a little bit a la Foundation style. I know I blabbed about this like ... a year ago now... but life gets in the way sometimes.
