John Green Presentation and American Facism

Alright so those two things aren't exactly connected, but they're all I can really think of in the week before school.
First thing's first I guess. I officially have a new co-author for the Nerdfighter writing project...who is made of awesome. I'm so confident of our writing that when we get done with this chapter, along with the editing of the past nine, we're going to (try) and show John Green the project and see what he thinks of it.
So I've noticed that allot of things have changed with the… Continue

Change and a filler speech mocking the stupitity of my school

Hello and good day fellow Nerdfighters. Aside from adding an album to my page, I've also gotten another chapter of my favorite writing project done(http://www.webook.com/shortstory.aspx?p=7fb19ec9e3274e5c830549fa2f9ff8fa&sit=a15c8e1affc2424384bc7947459afb95). I've also may have gotten a new co-author who doesn't have a superiority complex. Unfortunately I don't have the usual time to vomit my crazy thoughts into the computer because somewhere between writing, working, and trying to go from "… Continue

Religion and The darkness of humanity

Yeah I know that's not a very light hearted title--sue me. So I noticed allot of people on the Ning tend to have a more liberal tendency and don't seem to be too friendly with that God fellow everybody seems to keep talking about. Not that there's anything wrong with that; I mean I haven't gotten along with God ever since I pointed to a portrait of Jesus and asked "so who's the guy on the planks".

The thing is that you guys seem to be going at this the wrong way. You're all saying the religion… Continue

Writing and British people

Hello fellow Nerdfighters. So you've probably guessed by my last post that, I'm crazy; and of course being crazy also goes along perfectly with writing (and Prozac). Yes I write, and of course I'm writing about Nerdfighters. Because is there really anything more awesome to write about? http://www.webook.com/shortstory.aspx?p=7fb19ec9e3274e5c830549fa2f9ff8fa&sit=35441c85444c4842bc75e70ff684c0cf (link to Nerdfighter story). I also have a really good co-author to work with who has a blog that's… Continue

Life and Death

Hello fellow Nerdfighters. Since I've been here awhile, and found that the ning is nice enough to give me a blog option I'd thought I'd give blogging a try.

How do you feel about death? Personally I think about it more then life ; to the point where the first item on crazy things to do if I ever win the lottery, is reserve myself a grave in the nicest cemetery possible, with a tombstone that has the date as 1991-(whenever I die)-Zombie apocalypse. If you think that's weird, I've also pictured h… Continue

It alright, I totally understand being busy. I didn't finish NaNoWriMo, I got to about 30000 words before running out of time. I'm still going to work on it, obviously not in a months time, but still. It was a lot of fun though.
Other than that I've just been preparing for finals and getting really excited about winter break. What about you, how's wrestling/work... or anything else you've been doing?

Sleeping and eating, always fun. That's pretty much what I did today.

I'm pretty much just winging it so I don't know where its going. But so far I have a teenager girl who hates her government teacher. But her government teacher ends up hating her too. They both seek revenge on each other and that's all I have. Which totals to about 11500. I'm really behind. I'm going to keep working on it past November though and hopefully finish it, then maybe next year I'll when NaNoWriMo?

Audience is definatly a key point to being a writer. And I think everyone worries about their audience being made of suck at some point (in my very unprofessional opinion).

Argh... classes. They can be awesome, but they can also be crappy. But its not so bad, their just something you have to deal with I guess.

I will get to see my family... in fact I'm writing this from my old bedroom. I don't have many plans for the break aside from writing and hanging out with my family. Well, my parents and my brother. My two sisters are staying in Michigan (where they live) and my other relatives are staying in their respective states. This I think will be my first thanksgiving with only four people. Nonetheless, it should be fun.

What are your thanksgiving plans (if any)?

I might try it some time, but I'd have to broaden my taste in books, too. I think the reason I could never write horror or mystery is because I've never read it. The closest I've come to mystery is some series I was obsessed with in like, elementary. Its almost impossible to write in a genre I've never read.
Oh, so straight comedy is kind of like a spoof or a parody? I write song parodies all the time, but nothing like a whole novel. I've always wanted to write one based off Twilight, just for laughs, but that's been done to death and the book is hilariously bad enough as it is.

Yeah, the writing club is fun, it provides a solid form of entertainment.
I'm not really sure how I got the ningmaster title. Basically, John and Hank said to post a blog listing your qualifications and I did. I didn't really expect to win because in my opinion it wasn't the best blog in the world (scroll back through my blog if you want to read it). But then end of September came and Ningmaster Tom apparently picked me as book ningmaster! I don't know why... they never said.
Speaking to the creator of the ning was pretty much the best experience of my life. (possibly?) I was incredibly nervous of embarrassing myself though because I tend to do that a lot. But it went okay and I am pleased to announce that John and Hank are just as awesome as they seem. I mean, on Skype... I haven't met them IRL.

Awesome. Good luck with the editing/writing. And especially, good luck presenting it to, John.
That comic strip project sounds kind of insanely awesome. Good luck with that as well (even though I've said that a million times already).
My week's been good. Mostly it consisted of homework and NaNoWriMo. Because thanksgiving break starts in a week and I have a lot of exams coming up. And after break I only have like a week and half left of my first semester of college. Which is really weird to think about. It went by really fast.

Yeah, well, unfortunately my friends are like that. I'm just kind of disappointed because Emma (she's on Nerdfighters) already had an idea and everything and she couldn't wait to start, but then she never did. Oh, well. Looks like I'll have to go it alone.
I could never do that. Some genres are too foreign to me. Like historical fiction. I know all fiction needs at least a little research, but I'm pretty sure writing historical fiction requires more researching than writing. I've never written horror or mystery either.
Wait . . . straight comedy? And that is . . . *looks stupidly into the distance*

College is fun... there's always stuff to do and your never bored, which is great. The writing club is fun, its not the most active club. Meaning, really we just write things for fun and occasionally share them with the other members. Which is fun, not the best way to run a club in my opinion, but its still fun.

Yeah, 50k is actually not as much as a lot of people think. As soon as I get some time to write I should catch up fairly quick.

Thanks! Basically, on Fridays I post a blog consisting of book related news of some kind (reviews, censorship or something) and feature it. I also have to keep the blurbing book club running for Hank and John. Then the rest of the week I mostly check out the ning and possibly ban a spammer or two if I see any.
And on Thursday's there's a Skype meeting with Hank and John. Unfortunately, because of one of my classes I can't always make it. I made it last week though, John didn't make it, which made me sad. But Hank did! That was a very surreal experience... omg.

Awesome, I need to catch up on your story. College has kept me away from webook as well. Hopefully I can get on there soon.
Newspapers are fun, I wrote for one my Freshmen year of high school, but that was it. What's your job on the paper? Editor, staff writer?
Aww... Nerdfighterlike FTW!
Oh college searching, I remember doing that (mostly because it was like a year ago, lol). Have fun with that. And also, have fun with wrestling!

Well, I was going to change the idea, but I decided not to (why can I never make up my mind!?) because then I'd have to start all over again, and I'm already 13,000 words in. Anyway, I tried to get three of my friends to do it, none of them even wrote a thousand words and only one of them has actually started. They all say they're too busy but I probably have more to do than any of them and I still manage to get in 1,777 words a day. Oh well, maybe they all forgot. And that sounds awesome, writing about apocalypses and zombies is always fun! I never write science fiction or fantasy, I seem to be the realistic-fiction kind of writer. What do you like best?
At 5:02pm on November 9, 2009, Tenley Nadine (book ningmaster) said…
Wow... its been a long time since we talked. So long in fact that I'm not sure where I should pick up. Let's see, I started college, but I think I might have did that before our conversation took an unfortunate hiatus. But now, one of my classes is over! Which means we almost haven't talked for a full semester... awkward.

What else, I'm doing NaNoWriMo. Its not going incredibly well at the moment as I'm only at like 5000 words. Mostly because I had a million and a half different homework assignments to do this past week and didn't get a chance to write. But this week is starting off fairly light so maybe I'll get caught up? Maybe.

Um... what else. Oh, I'm a Ningmaster now! (how the frick did I almost forget that?). I pretty much screamed for like ten minutes straight upon finding that out. This was the end of September by the way (let's all applaud my ability to write in chronological order lol). So that's fun.

Other than that, its been pretty boring around here: Classes, the attempt and failure of job hunting, having one of my roommates move out, keeping up with my collab channels, having another roommate move in and several other minor things.

What about you, how's you last like two and half months been?

I'm really frustrated now. See, I changed my idea. Now I have to start from scratch again. I swear, this always happens to me.
