I'm watching Lilo and Stitch again. I hadn't realized it before, but Lilo is definitely a Nerdfighter.

I vote stand outside of a movie theater, shout "I Love Unicorns" while wearing a Twilight shirt of his choosing, then walk away. OR Do a video singing either Ice Ice Baby (with choreography) or Barbie Girl (in full makeup and costume).

Shakespeare! Ophelia, from Hamlet would be nice. Or non-Shakespeare Alice in Wonderland.

What Kind of Nerdfighter Are You?
Disney/Literature/History/Theater Nerdfighter
About Me:
Hi! I'm a Disney/Literature/History/Theater Nerdfighter. If you have a question about Disney, I probably know the answer. I'm also an aspiring character actress or novelist. I love Legally Blonde the Musical and Wicked. I love watching Sleeping Beauty, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, and many other Disney classics. My other favorite movies are 10 Things I Hate About You and Juno.

What Be Your Nerd Type?
Your Result: Drama Nerd

You sure do love the spotlight and probably have a very out-going and loud personality. Or not. That's just a stereotype, of course. Participation in the theatre is something to be very proud of. Whether you have a great voice for musicals, or astounding skills for dramas/comedies; keep up the good work. We need more entertainment these days that isn't television and video games (not that these things are bad, necessarily.)

My Scoliosis Surgery Part 1

I'm going to divide this up into parts, probably three, to preserve my sanity. The reason I'm blogging about my scoliosis surgery is because I'm going to be celebrating my 2nd anniversary of it this Thursday and I know some nerdfighters here who have had or are going to have scoliosis surgery.

Scoliosis, for those who don't know, is the curvature of the spine. Scoliosis isn't hereditary, and doctors don't know why it happens. Most doctors will say that it is kind of like when a flower grows, an… Continue

100 Book Challenge (OMG Geektastic may already be out in a store near you)

For those of you who don't know, John has written in an anthology called, "Geektastic: Stories from the Nerd Herd". It's official release date isn't until August, but as many of you know, Barnes and Noble and Borders are pretty bad when it comes to release dates, so some stores may already have it out. Take my Barnes and Noble, for example. It came out in June there. So, I have read it. There are many different types of nerd stories in it, so there is something for everyone.
1. The Princess and… Continue

Spider-Man vs The Addams Family vs Catch Me if You Can

So, I think some of Broadway has lost it's FUGGING MIND. Well, only bits and pieces of it. They can, apparently, make a musical about ANYTHING nowadays. Which isn't bad, considering Broadway has always been writing musicals based on books. With current Broadway, they LOVE to make musicals out of movies. Which is OK, depending on the movie. Hairspray? Great. The Producers? Fantastic. Legally Blonde? It actually worked.

The upcoming shows will be based on movies and popular characters. The first… Continue

Oh, Wow. I Haven't Update my Book Reading Challenge in a While........

So, I'm halfway to the end of 2009, and I haven't gotten 50 books read yet. Summer makes me lazy, I guess. I forgot to update my list on here for a while, but I have been keeping track of my books. I've read two more anthologies, one has a story by John Green. I just finished "Along for the Ride" by Sarah Dessen. I think that it is probably my favorite of her's. I love reading all the hints to all her other books. I'm probably going to read "A Separate Peace" next, so I can get my summer paper d… Continue

wow, your whole back? i luckily have a c curve so i only need to get about T10-L3 fused
my degree is 50 or 56
i was told both, so its around there
it got about 10 degrees worse in a month so it was a pretty big surprise when i got told last week i need surgery

im going to film a lot of the surgery procedure and after and such
because i cant find anyone who did that. i mostly find blogs that pretty much say "i had surgery" but dont go into detail about how they felt, how bad the pain was, or if they can bend

yeah im putting the surgery off til december because i have band from august to november and musical from september to december
and im glad i did because i dont want to be in a brace again over the summer (i used to wear a boston brace, now im in a spinecor which was correcting me and holding my curve until about a month or 2 ago)
but one doctor told me i wont be in a brace
so i dont know if i will or not

and i was told that i will be able to go back to school 2-6 weeks after the surgery
so im most likely stayng out for 6 weeks
im hoping to get the surgery around december 9th and staying out of school until around january 20th
which would mean i cant be in the one act play (if your school does the one act play competions, then you know what im talking about)

can you still twist? like, can you get your shoulders at a 90 degree angle or perpendicular to your hips?
can you bend side ways? like bending left and right
how far forward can you bend? or can you only bend at the hips?
can you bend back at all? not like a complete backbend, i cant even do that now

did you get a bone graph? or something like it, but not?
one doctor told me about fusing but its not a bone graph. he didnt go into detail so im not sure exactly what he meant
ill ask him more questions when i go back in august
or did you get like a fake bone type thing to fuse your spine? another doctor told me something about that
i also heard a bone graph is excruciatingly painfull. so if you got that, how bad was it?

were you in pain before the surgery?
my back pretty much hurts constantly
sometimes reeeeally badly
so im looking forward to not being in pain

how bad did your back hurt after the surgery and how long did it take for it to feel normal?

how much taller did you get? im 5'9" so im hoping i wont get much taller

can you feel the rods when you touch tour back?
can you feel them on your spine?
does it sometimes hurt even today?
if its cold out, will the rods get cold?
if its hot will the rods get hot?
or do they always stay the same temperature as your body?
is the scar really bad and incredibly noticable?
are the rods visible if someone is just looking at your back?
do you have flat back or do you still have the natural curve of your back?

i think that those are all my questions :)
and im going to check out that site now
