What Kind of Nerdfighter Are You?
The kind that doesn't like labels :-)
About Me:
Basics:

- I'm 29 and a little scared of hitting 30. Will I have to start being, like, grown up and stuff....?
- I'm female
- my name is Charlotte, Nephtys is a name I've been using on teh interwebz since I was about 13 and had an ancient Egypt obsession
- I'm half Dutch/half English and have lived in the Netherlands all my life
- I live with two very cool cats, Pumpkin and Pingu. They're both boys, and are about 3 years old at this point.
- I have a degree in conflict studies & political science, and work for an NGO in the field of conflict prevention and peacebuilding
- In addition to wanting to reduce word suck by preventing violent conflict I'm concerned about biased/prejudicial news reporting. I've done research on it but would like to do something more active about it.
- Three friends and I run a tiny foundation that gives financial support to a primary school in Nepal
- Social justice FTW!
- I'm currently a little obsessed with food ethics, food production, the big food industry as they relate to sustainability, equality and health.
- I love to read
- I love kayaking - I mostly do it around the fairly still canals in my home town, but would love to try sea kayaking.
- I love to cook and eat, but I don't eat meat or fish, and in general avoid animal products as much as possible.
- I like various forms of juggling, especially poi, but haven't been doing it enough lately.
- comfort over looks ALWAYS in clothing & shoe choice... I also hate formal wear and thankfully don't need to wear it often for work
- when I have time I make stuff. Various random kinds of stuff. Stuff that I happen to need or want and don't want a mass-produced version of. I've made or re-made clothes (but i'm not terribly good at that), I have a thing about making lampshades, I've made various wine bottle stoppers with dragons, trolls, and in one case a cat (for my grandma) on them, one of my pics on here is a tree-shaped stand I made for acrylic contact juggling balls. Current project is yet another lampshade (they tend to have quite a short life span due to the juggling and cats)
- I don't own a tv and love not owning a tv, but I watch a lot of interwebz
- I am seriously, SERIOUSLY addicted to coffee
Favorite Books, Movies, Music, and more

Prior to The Final Game, Holland played a VERY good tournament. Same as w/ John during the World Cup, I too become obsessed w/ soccer. Hence, I watched all their games. Hop Holland Hop!!

Thanks for noticing my posting of that link for animal rescue. No, I am not personally involved. But I make of point of clicking that link on a regular basis. Daily, if my memory allows. I could not help but wonder, about 'WHEN' somebody would say something to me regarding that link. You're the first. So YOU WIN!!!

Ahoy there, I know this is very random and quite out of the blue but... do you happen to have have a video camera or similar that can make quick, short videos?
