Salinger, Hard-Boiled Wonderland & the End of the World by Haruki Murakami, Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides, The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay by Michael Chabon, Catch-22 by Joseph Heller, Pattern Recognition by William Gibson, Snow by Orhan Pamuk, anything by Cormac McCarthy (but especially The Road). Music and movies will have to wait, but I will say that I rewatched Before Sunrise and Before Sunset recently and, bourgieness aside, I really, really love those films.

Thats one of my favorite movies too! I dont know that actor in particular, but the film is beautiful. The other quote I like is the one about the miracles; it'll only happen when it doesnn't matter. Friggin amazing.
