No words from God justify inequality

This article has been sent around to the inboxes of many of the Catholic women I know, including my old religion teacher. A month late it arrived in my inbox. I am no longer Catholic. This is one of the big problems I have with not just the Catholic church, but most organized religions.

A Bad Teen Movie

John Hughes died today. In honor of his death, my life became a bad teen movie.

I did not learn of John Hughes' death until I returned home at 1 AM. But I now believe that John Hughes, unbeknownst to me, was messing with my life from beyond death. This is the only explanation I can come up with for the night's events.

A huge, overcrowded party with multiple kegs and pounding music. Most of the time I avoid these sorts of parties. They are always busted and never fun. In 80's and 90's teen mo… Continue

A Summer of These Nights

[This is weird for me to be blogging here twice in one week*]

My brother, Johnny, is one of my best friends. Sometimes I find myself forgetting that he is my older brother, part of the family that I generally resent. We share the same gene pool, the same brown eyes, and the same childhood. Johnny was born only 13 months before I appeared on the scene. We were close enough in age to be put in the same grade for kindergarten but split up when I was sent to pre-first and Johnny went straight on to… Continue

A Storm and a Fire

Last night around six o'clock in the evening I was sitting in my room looking through old pictures. Normally I am not the sort of person to just look through a shoebox filled with old pictures for the sake of reminiscing and in fact that is not what I was doing. I was only looking through the box of photographs to find appropriate pictures to give to my friends as going-away-to-college momentos. However, this task quickly morphed into reminiscing and nostalgic musings on my childhood.

Then, it… Continue

Amid a Baby's Wails, One Girl Attempts To Blog

I said I was returning to blogging and here I am. However, I have nothing of particular interest to blog about and so todays is just going to be a grab bag.

you met daniel craig? thats pretty good. did he have a bodyguard to keep the crazys away? haha prob not. great pics and followup commentary

hmm thats cool the you can juggle. i dont know if i can read four books at once. anyway its not in my nature to do that. ill start one then CONQUER IT! snd then move to the next one. but try to finish Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell! so we can talk about the end haha

discworld is set in like an alternate parallel dimension and its not just one series with one protagonist its got like ten different lead characters and different stories set in the same world. they sometimes overlap. there are like 40 books out in the series and there awesome (i think) there like fantasy and they have all different motifs and such i recommend starting with moist von lipwig if you want to look into it!

im biased towards Greta because im a man and im attracted to her. yay for biased nerds!

hey im a second semester senior as well! yah my life has chilled out now that 75% of my aps are done with (well if you dont count ap reviews, which you should cause there class but on your time, SUCK)

first of all i want to say that a comment can never ever be to long for me! i really really like it when i get long comments because i feel like other people think that im interesting enough to talk to!

Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell is one of my favorite books of all time. susanna clarke also wrote a book of short stories called the ladies of grace adieu. check that out and stay tuned for her next book that shes writing write now if your into Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell as much as i am. but wait did you finish it? do you want to talk about it? did you love it?

haha one of my good nerdfighter friends and i had a long discussion on the book over facebook. anyway im reading the discworld series right now, which spans like 40 volumes and is pretty good! but its really hard to find time to read because my life is pretty hecktick! i like ten books in from christmas so i think im doing ok. but everytime i want to sit down and read one of them i have to instead read a book for my lit class. DAMN YOU FAULKNER!

i really really really like the hush sounds newest album! from medicine man to just everything ha. i like it better when the woman sings however but they are both good (sry i dont know there names) what are your thoughts on this

also i like the strokes and ten million other bands but this is getting pretty long and i dont want you to think im weird. if you want to comtinue this convo then just comment me back!

its alright if it takes you a while to comment, my life equals stress a lot of the time as well. sometimes i dont comment not because i dont have time but i dont feel like i can do the other person justice. i always want my quality of comments to be good.

isnt avant garde the writing style of eliot? also what books and music are you into?

sorry, i've been super busy lately with school, and christmas, and you know the works. anyways, i know what you mean, because i cannot draw people! and that's a really important thing to be able to draw so for now i just stick to drawing nature and sorts. to be honest i draw trees a lot...haha i don't know why. i've always enjoyed drawing trees.
