The really geeky type of Nerdfighter. Can I be a Geekfighter instead? No, that isn't a thing. I don't want to be the first "Geekfighter". I'll be lonely. No, I bet someone else wanted to be a "Geekfighter". Should we be "Geekfighters"...? Nah, it's pretty much the same isn't it. I'm a geeky Nerdfighter. Proud.
I'm 16, English, and female. I don't own a television. Finding the Nerdfighter community was really fantastic. It gave me the confidence boost I needed in order for me to believe that it's OK to be nerdy, and dorky, and wear glasses, and love stuff that other people think is stupid. I've come so far that I kind of enjoy the funny looks I get for shaking with excitement before a film I've been looking forward to starts, or going to a book signing dressed as a beloved character, or talking about computer games in a voice that's louder than a whisper. I kind of, sort of, almost love it. I love television.
Favorite Books, Movies, Music, and more
I love so much of the stuffs! My favourite books to read are the Discworld series by Terry Pratchett. They are awesome. At the moment, I'm really enjoying watching the films that I grew up watching and so, I guess, shaped my childhood: Star Wars, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Terry Gilliam films, Monty Python films, Treasure Planet, Emperor's New Groove and Mean Girls are just a few. What am I saying? "Shaped my childhood"? Bit pretentious, and they still affect me. Maybe I'm still a kid. :) Cool. There's too much music to list. Favourite PC games include Quake 3, Portal 1 & 2, Nethack, Team Fortress 2, Minecraft and various MMORPGs. Side note: I'm shockingly bad at X-box games.
What's your favorite thing to put on your head?
Wooly hats mean it's snowing. But top hats make you awesome. And cooking implements make you strange. I don't know. I can't choose.
If you could do your happy dance with anyone who would it be with?
All the other Nerdfighters. There should be an event.
When did you start watching the Vlogbrothers?
Make up your own DFTBA initialism!
Damsels fart to break awkwardness.
