If it's a good day, I'll have yogurt (which I use to fool myself into pretending I'm eating ice cream) or a graham cracker... Otherwise, I'll have a bagel with margarine (I put the margarine on, then toast it on broil in the oven. It's my favorit...

OMG, I've heard this about 20 times before, and yet when I saw Jenny and the Wimp go down for the fourth or fifth time, I had to look away to keep from laughing. (But I failed back at the Carlton dance anyway..)

Funny that you mention that. I'm in a humanities class, and we talked about the Mona Lisa not having eyebrows. Maybe that wil come up on my exam.

We didn't have cable when i was little, but my cousin would give us giant bags of VHS tapes from Cartoon network at Christmas. (Best present ever.) I never got into Rugrats though, possibly because I didn't see enough episodes to get hooked, and I...

Alright, I think that where you start depends on what you want. If you want it for the actual sci-fi value, then I'd start with The Next Generation or Deep Space 9 (I'd go with TNG). If you like old TV shows that you can poke fun at and enjoy for ...

NaNoWriMo!!

It's almost that time again! NaNoWriMo and the month of insanity it brings is soon upon us and I couldn't be happier!

Nano--what? you say? For those that don't know, NaNoWriMo stands for National Novel Writing Month. And it's just what the name says. Each year in November, thousands of people try to write and NOT edit a 50,000 word novel just in the month of November. I've only done it once before, but it's their 10th anniversary. I can tell you that last year was a time of amazing fun, frustra… Continue

The collision of politics and religion

Such a touchy issue, right? I'm almost nervous about writing this just in case anyone happens to actually read it, but I'd really love to discuss this with some people if they see it. Yeah, anyway, I've been thinking about this ever since I was in high school and started to learn what politics was and developed an interest in it. I grew up in a Southern Baptist church my whole life (except for a couple years we didn't really go at all, but that's beside the point) and there's been a significant… Continue

DNC Decision

Finally! The Democratic National Comittee reached a decision on what to do with the delegates for the Michigan and Florida primaries. For those of you that aren't up on the political race, here's what happened. In 2005, the DNC wrote rules for their primaries, stating that primaries couldn't be moved before the first Tuesday in February. This year, both Florida and Michigan decided to move their primaries ahead of that date. As a result, all of their delegates were pulled from the convention, ef… Continue

Dumbest Generation -- Part 1

This post is mostly in response to the article '8 reasons why this is the dumbest generation' that another nerdfighter posted for discussion earlier. Could they have picked a more offensive title? But even though I find the idea that our generation is dumber than all the rest pretty ridiculous, I find that some of his ideas have merit. I'll go through them all here.

1. They make excellent "Jaywalking'' targets
I've seen "Jaywalking" several times. And I know that not every person on ther… Continue

Feelings...

Yeah, It's been a while since I've been on here, and I was just watching several of the videos by John and Hank that I missed. So now, I'm thinking.... I loved John's little rant about healthcare and completely agree. True, we can't just wave a magic wand and say 'Ok, everyone's got healthcare now' but it should be something that's being worked on.

Then, I noticed a vid someone put up (sorry, I can't remember who xD) that showed John talking about his little internet love story, but more import… Continue

Oh, so THAT's why I have no friends on NaNo, haha. I'm 13 but I wanted to be able to change my word count, so I joined the YWP. Sure, we can talk through the Ning! I have AIM but I'm hardly on anymore. I spend my time on the NaNo YWP forums and sometimes on here. :] Thanks!

It Sprouted from My favorite Piece of Useless Trivia: If you take Goldfish into Space, they float around in all directions like drunk fish. But if you put a Flashlight to a side of thier tank, they assume it's the sun; therefore assuming that way is up, and orient themselves that way.

What's your kind of Obscure then? I might know them too. XD
