Profile Information

What Kind of Nerdfighter Are You?
Librarian, feminist, vegetarian, book-loving, piano-playing Nerdfighter
About Me:
I graduated in 2007 with my MLIS. I was a library assistant in Aurora, CO before I was laid off (because of budget issues) at the end of 2009. Now I'm trying to get a librarian position anywhere. I love YA books, kids books and graphic novels; oldies, classical, 80s music and an eclectic mix of pop songs; Nintendo games starring Mario and Zelda; and lazy activities like sleeping and staring at the computer. Occasionally my fiance and I get out of the house to hike and stare at dinosaur fossils. When we're not able to do that, we play board games together or make out on the couch.
Favorite Books, Movies, Music, and more
Harry Potter series, The Witches, His Dark Materials, The Phantom Tollbooth, The Neverending Story, Artemis Fowl, Sir Apropos of Nothing, Siddhartha, Knight Life, Jane Eyre, Pride and Prejudice, Emma, A Wrinkle in Time, The Last Unicorn, Little Women, The Chronicles of Narnia, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, The Thirteenth Tale, Song in the Silence, The Once and Future King, The Fool's Tale, Revenge of the Rose, The Princess Bride, Starship Titanic, Beowulf, Waverly, The Crystal Star, Bunnicula series, Fudge-a-Mania, Flatland, The Screwtape Letters, Blankets, Pride of Baghdad, Castle Waiting, children's books, Shakespeare, Keats, non-depressing graphic novels
What's your favorite thing to put on your head?
Purple bunny ears
If you could do your happy dance with anyone who would it be with?
John Giezensomething, my mate for life
When did you start watching the Vlogbrothers?
June, 2007

I think this test is somewhat unfair...I'm definitely more nerdy than that! But the questions were obviously only testing your computer/science/technology nerdiness factor. There are so many other types of nerdiness!

Thank you so much for leaving a comment on my blog post, you listed so many great books! I absolutely adored The Hunger Games trilogy. And Will Grayson, Will Grayson! But I also loved The Book of Lost Things and I cannot wait to read Going Bovine.. I've heard such good things about it.

Wow, ok, so there are no excuses for me being away so long. lol. Well, I could try to come up with a few... To be truthful, I just haven't been getting on the computer that much lately, and I almost never went to the Ning... But now I'm back! Yay! lol.

Yay!!! for reading Twilight! Have you read New Moon or Eclipse yet?! lol. I'm really glad you liked it!! I mean, they're not groundbreaking or anything, but they sure are literary crack for the fangirl's heart! haha! I love them. And I'm so excited for Breaking Dawn! It comes out August 2nd. Have you read Stephenie's other book The Host? It's not in the same series, but it is definitely wonderful. :D

Yes those pictures of Daniel are pretty steamy! I've read equus and its not as bad as the media makes it out to be but it is pretty intense. Duluth is good... but there is way to much constuction going on and it makes traffic really bad!

Haha! Thanks for the advice! I'm doing a little bit better... Lol. Only weeks left. I think that includes finals. I love finals. They're so easy. I always work really hard the entire semester, so I don't feel bad slacking a little on finals. Is that bad? Haha! I mean, I work hard if it's like the only grade I have in the class, but generally I slack in my studies. And, since I don't really have to do anything but work and study, I get to SLEEP! And I love sleep. And Work. Work is fun, and easy. :D
