What Be Your Nerd Type?
Your Result: Social Nerd

You're interested in things such as politics, psychology, child care, and peace. I wouldn't go so far as to call you a hippie, but some of you may be tree-huggers. You're the type of people who are interested in bettering the world. You're possible the least nerdy of them all; unless you participate in other activies that paled your nerdiness compared to your involvement in social activities. Whatever the case, we could still use more of you around. ^_^

What Be Your Nerd Type?
Your Thinking is Abstract and Sequential
You like to do research and collect lots of information. The more facts you have, the easier it is for you to learn. You need to figure things out for yourself and consider all possibilities. You tend to become an expert in the subjects that you study. It's difficult for you to work with people who know less than you do. You aren't a very patient teacher, and you don't like convincing people that you're right.

Hello there. I have an atheist-related question and since you are probably the most outspoken atheist I know you'd be able to give me a good answer. There's this girl at my college who is in my ethics discussion class, and she's said she is strong atheist. I see her eating by herself a lot at lunch, and she always seems really lonely and I want to invite her to sit with me and my friends at lunch. The problem is that most of my friends and me are Christian, and I don't want her to feel like I'm trying to suck her into "the Christian group" or anything, and I definitely don't want her to feel uncomfortable. She just seems like a nice person and I'm tired of seeing her sit by herself every day. Would it be bad form for me to invite her to sit with us?

My favorite Q moment happens to be from that same episode:
Q: What can I do to prove to you that I am human?
Worf: You could die.
Q: Oh! Very good, Worf! Eat any good books lately!

Oh, also, I like your musical tastes. I've loved Jason Mraz ever since the Curbside Prophet album was released and I had never heard Passenger's rendition of Umbrella.

So I just saw this on Randi's page:

"I agreed with you, when put into context, the bible is not against homosexuality."

So, I'm interested. Are you saying that it isn't Christianity that is the problem, that it's just Christians that try and use the Bible, unjustly, to project their homophobic behaviors?

It's not out until the summer, which is good, because I should be in the UK when it comes out, so I'll be able to grab an early copy (though I got the first edition of the last Thursday Next books which didn't have the footnotes in, so that might not be as good as I think).

Sorry to take so long to get back to you, my presence on here ebbs and flows a bit. Thursday Next is an amazing series and one that disproves the saying never judge a book by it's cover - it was the cover of the first book that made me buy it.

Have you seen that Fforde's got a new book coming out that's separate from Thursday Next and Nursery Crime, it's about a world where people can only see certain colours, which sounds very interesting.
